A touch of the sea for your home. The bathroom windowsill still looks a bit bare. The christening card needs a motif. And you need an idea for the next crafting afternoon with the kids. This wooden lighthouse is made for exactly that. It has a clear silhouette with a beacon at the top. It is unfinished and ready for your colours. You choose the height from 3 to 50 cm. A plain wooden cutout becomes your very own nautical decoration.

What changes for you

  • You design the lighthouse just the way you like it. The plywood is unfinished, so you can paint it, glue things on, coat it or oil it.
  • Your motif always fits its setting, from a small card to a large window decoration. You choose the height from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You can start straight away, even when crafting with children. The laser-cut edges are smooth, so no sanding is needed.
  • You can kit out whole projects in one go, from a children's party to table decorations. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces are available.
  • You are holding a piece of nature. Every wooden piece has its own grain, so each one is unique.

Why this wooden lighthouse makes a difference every day

Nautical decoration works best with clear shapes. A lighthouse is recognisable at first glance. As a window picture, on a homemade card or as a motif in the bathroom or nursery, the silhouette brings a calm, friendly holiday mood to the room. You decide the height and design yourself. So the motif fits exactly where you need it. There is no need to search for ready-made decorations.

Material & finish

The lighthouse is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This creates the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a fine outline. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. The cutout feels pleasant to the touch and you can work on it straight away. The wood is unfinished, not varnished or glazed. Your paints adhere well, and you can still feel the natural material. Small differences in shade and grain, and the occasional knot, are normal in wood. They make every piece unique. The lighthouse is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden lighthouse

  • Crafting with children: each child paints their own lighthouse in red and white or in bright colours. In the end, a little coastal landscape stands on the table.
  • For a window picture in the bathroom or nursery: one large lighthouse with a few small ones. A glance at the window feels like a short moment by the sea.
  • Making cards: a small lighthouse on a card for a christening, the first day at school or a farewell. Your card will be remembered.
  • As table scatter or gift tags: small sizes on the laid table or on a parcel. A nautical mood with little effort.
  • For cafés, fish counters or shops: with sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces, you can decorate shop windows, counters or buffets in a uniform style. One motif, set up quickly.

Good to know about the lighthouse

For centuries, lighthouses have guided ships safely into harbour. That is why the lighthouse is still a symbol of orientation, hope and homecoming. It is a classic motif for nautical decoration. It is also a fitting choice for cards and gifts for a christening, the first day at school or a new beginning.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Store the unfinished cutout in a dry place and avoid constant moisture. The wood will then keep its natural look for a long time. If you want to protect the surface or add colour, simply paint, varnish or oil the lighthouse.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint the lighthouse? Yes. The plywood is unfinished. You can paint it, glue things on, coat it or oil it. Paints adhere directly to the natural surface.

Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The lighthouse is laser-cut. This creates the typical dark edge, which also gives the silhouette a clear outline.

How wide is the lighthouse? The width depends on the chosen height. At a height of 10 cm, it is 6.5 cm wide.

Do all cutouts look the same? The shape is identical, the wood isn't. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain and occasionally has small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.

Is the cutout suitable for crafting with children? Yes. The laser-cut edges are smooth, so children can paint the motif and glue things on straight away.

Picture the moment your own lighthouse stands in the window. It brings a piece of the coast into your home. Simply choose your height – singly or as a set.
