It also leaves the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a handmade look. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor stained. Paints, glues and oils adhere to it particularly well. As a natural material, wood is never completely uniform. Brightness, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. That makes every flower one of a kind.
