- Crafting with children is more relaxed. The laser-cut edges are smooth, so nobody catches on rough edges.

- You save yourself the sawing and sanding. Every mouse comes cleanly finished from our own production.
Why this mouse cutout makes a difference in everyday life
Homemade decorations always tell a little story. You can feel it when the painted mouse stands on the birthday table or hangs in the nursery window. Instead of mass-produced goods, you create something that carries your own handwriting. And because you choose the size yourself, the motif works just as well as table scatter as in a large window display.
Material & finish
The little mouse is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. It has the typical, lightly browned edge, which gives the figure a clear, calm outline. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean, so you can start decorating right away. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. You can glue on it, paint it or oil it, just as your project needs. As a natural material, every piece shows its own grain. Some are lighter, some darker, and some have small knots. This makes every mouse one of a kind. It is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the little mouse
- Crafting with children: Each child paints their own mouse. At the end, a whole colourful mouse family stands on the table.
- For a children's birthday party: Scatter little mice between plates and cups. The table instantly has a theme.
- In the nursery or children's room: A large mouse on the window or wall. Children recognise and love this motif straight away.
- In the shop window: In a large size, the silhouette draws attention to your display. It is quick to put up, with no complicated rearranging.
- For gifts and party favours: Write a name on the mouse and it becomes a small tag. It lasts longer than any paper card.
Good to know about the mouse
The mouse is one of the most popular characters in children's picture books, songs and stories. Hardly any animal is as familiar to children. That is why the motif suits everything to do with children's birthdays, nurseries and children's rooms. It is recognised at once, and children love decorating it themselves.
Care & durability
There is not much you need to do. As the plywood is untreated, it is best to keep the mouse dry and avoid lasting moisture. If you paint or oil it, you protect the surface even more. That way your decoration stays looking good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Is the wood treated? No, the plywood is left natural, neither varnished nor stained. You can paint it, stick things on it, coat it or oil it straight away.
Where does the brown edge come from? The mouse is laser-cut, which creates the typical dark edge along the cut. At the same time, the edges are smooth and clean.
Do all the mice look the same? The shape is identical, but the wood is not. As a natural material, it varies in shade and may show small irregularities or knots in the grain. Every piece is one of a kind.
Can I use the mouse outdoors? The wood is untreated and therefore intended for dry indoor spaces. For outdoor use, paint or oil it first and avoid lasting moisture.
Which size is right for table scatter? For a birthday or children's table, the small heights from 5 cm work well. For shop windows, nurseries or children's rooms, choose the larger sizes up to 50 cm.
A wooden cutout is only the starting point. What stays is the moment a child proudly places their own painted mouse on the table. You know this afternoon will be remembered. Simply choose your height and quantity. You can create the rest together.
