Spring is just around the corner and the craft table is ready. But you still need a motif that ties together window pictures, table decorations and gift tags. This wooden nightingale is made for your next craft idea. It is a clear bird silhouette in plywood. You can paint it, stick things on it or simply use it as it is. Painted, decorated or left natural, it works as a window picture, table decoration or gift tag.

What changes for you

  • You can start crafting straight away, with no sawing or sanding. The nightingale is laser-cut and has smooth edges.
  • Your paints, varnishes and oils go straight onto the surface. The wood is untreated and left natural.
  • You will find the right size for every project, from small table scatter to a large window picture. The width can be chosen from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • Group projects and larger decorations are easy to plan. The nightingale is available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
  • You are holding carefully made craftsmanship. It comes from our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

Why this wooden nightingale makes a difference every day

A ready-cut motif takes care of the hardest part. It leaves you the best part: the designing. Maybe you are at the kitchen table with children. Maybe you are decorating quietly on your own. Either way, the silhouette gives your project a recognisable shape right away. In the end, something you really made yourself hangs in the window or sits on the table. It looks natural and calm and suits any spring or nature decoration.

Material & finish

The nightingale is made of 3 mm plywood and is laser-cut. That is why it has the typical fine brown edge and smooth edges that do not splinter. The wood is untreated, not varnished or stained. It takes paint, glue and oil reliably. Wood is a purely natural material, so every piece turns out a little different. Shades vary, each has its own grain, and some have small knots. This is not a defect. It makes every nightingale one of a kind.

How to use the wooden nightingale

  • Crafting with children: Each child paints their own bird. In the end, a colourful flock hangs in the window and everyone is proud of it.
  • For spring decorations: Scatter small nightingales across the table. Your coffee table instantly looks lovingly laid.
  • As a gift tag: Tie a nightingale with a written message to the parcel with ribbon. Your little gift becomes more personal than any shop-bought card.
  • In a café or at the shop counter: Painted bird silhouettes in the window or at the counter announce the spring season. They are quick to hang up and need no big set-up.
  • For nursery, school or craft group: With a set of 25, 50 or 100, every participant gets the same motif. You save yourself cutting and preparation.

Good to know about the nightingale

For centuries the nightingale has stood for song and the start of spring. In poems and songs it announces the warm season. That is exactly why its silhouette suits spring decorations, window pictures and anything meant to bring nature indoors.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Keep the untreated nightingale dry and away from constant moisture. This keeps the wood stable and looking good for a long time. If you paint, oil or varnish it, you protect the surface even more and give it your own look.

Frequently asked questions

Is the wood treated? No, the nightingale is untreated, not varnished or stained. You can paint it, stick things on it, coat it or oil it straight away.

How tall is the figure at a given width? The height depends on the width. At 10 cm wide, the height is 8 cm. Other sizes scale accordingly.

Do all nightingales look the same? The shape is always identical, but the wood is not. As a natural material, it varies in shade. It may show small irregularities in the grain or small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.

What is the brown edge along the sides? This is the typical laser edge created during cutting. It gives smooth edges and is part of the product's character.

This wooden cutout is just the starting point. What counts is the afternoon when paint, a brush and a small bird silhouette turn into your very own spring decorations. Simply choose your size and quantity – and get started.
