Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The Easter tree is on the table. The children are ready with their brushes. Now all that's missing is something you can decorate together. This wooden daffodil is made for exactly that. It's an untreated plywood cutout in the shape of a narcissus, the classic spring flower. You can paint it, stick things on it or hang it up just as it is. An afternoon at the kitchen table turns into spring decorations you really made yourselves.
What changes for you
- You make your own Easter decorations instead of buying ready-made ones. The wood is untreated and can be painted, decorated with glued-on details, coated or oiled.
- Your craft afternoon stays relaxed, even with children. The laser-cut edges are smooth, with no rough spots.
- You'll find exactly the right size for your project. Go from a small hanging ornament to a large window decoration. Choose any size from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can supply larger projects without reordering. The daffodil comes single or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
- Your finished decoration looks warm and full of character. The typical brown laser edge frames the design like a fine outline.
Why this wooden daffodil makes a difference in everyday life
Decorations you've made yourself tell a story. Anyone who spots them on the Easter tree or door wreath doesn't see just any bought item. They see something that was made in your home. Natural wood brings calm and warmth into the room on its own, without bright colours or gloss. And because you choose the size and design, the daffodil fits into your home exactly the way you picture it.
Material & finish
The cutout is made from 3 mm plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. That's where the clean, smooth edges and the characteristic brown rim come from. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. So it takes paint and glue well. As a natural material, it can be lighter or darker and may show small knots or variations in the grain. That makes every piece one of a kind.

How to use the daffodil
- Crafting with children: Each child paints their own daffodil. In the end, a little gallery of your work hangs on the Easter tree.
- On the spring table: Put a daffodil at each place, perhaps with a name written on it. Your guests find their seat and a small gift to take home.
- On the door wreath or window: Add a few larger cutouts. Your entrance then says spring from a distance.
- At nursery, school or craft group: With sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, you can supply whole groups without ordering several times.
- In bakeries, cafés or shops: Use painted daffodils in shop window and counter displays. They are quick to hang up and just as quick to pack away after Easter.
Good to know about the daffodil
In German, the daffodil is popularly called Osterglocke, or "Easter bell". It usually flowers right at Easter, and its bloom is shaped like a bell. It has long stood for spring and new beginnings. As a wooden design on trees, wreaths and tables, it brings this promise long before anything flowers in the garden.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the daffodil? Yes. The plywood is untreated and can be painted, decorated, coated or oiled – just as you like.
Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The edge forms during laser cutting and is typical of this process. It also gives smooth edges and looks like a fine outline around the design.
Do all cutouts look exactly the same? The shape does, the wood not quite. As a natural material, it varies in shade and may show small knots or features in the grain. That's what makes each piece unique.
How wide is the daffodil in my chosen size? The width increases in proportion to the height. For reference: at a height of 10 cm, the width is 5.5 cm.
What matters is the moment you hang your hand-painted daffodils on the Easter tree. Everyone recognises their own piece of spring. Just choose your size and quantity, and you're ready for the next craft afternoon.
