Why this wooden paddle makes a difference
Shop-bought decorations can look generic. A motif you design yourself tells your story. With the wooden paddle silhouette, you can make gift tags, table scatter or wall pictures that nobody else has. The plywood feels light and easy to grip. You can paint it, stick things onto it or glaze it. Plastic decorations don't give you these options.
Material & finish
The paddle is laser-cut from 3 mm thick plywood, which gives it the typical brown edge that frames the shape with a fine outline. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean – so you can start creating right away. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed: paints, glues and oils adhere well. And because wood is a purely natural material, every piece turns out slightly different – some lighter, some darker, with small irregularities or knots in the grain. That's exactly what makes every paddle unique.

How to use the wooden paddle
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own little paddle – and at the end, a colourful fleet hangs as a mobile in the children's room.
- For nautical table decorations: a paddle on a napkin ring or as table scatter between the plates – and your summer party instantly has a holiday feel.
- As a gift tag: write a name on it, thread a ribbon through and tie it to the present – and the recipient knows you've made an effort before they've even unwrapped it.
- In a café or holiday home: arrange several paddles in different sizes on the wall – and your guests will feel like they're by the lake, without you spending a fortune on decor.
- For clubs and workshops: with sets of 10 to 100 pieces, you can supply craft afternoons, children's birthday parties or club celebrations in one go. Same shape, uniform look, quick set-up.
Good to know about the paddle
The difference is quickly explained: a paddle is held freely in the hand, while an oar is fixed to the boat – which is why the paddle symbolises canoeing, kayaking and getting around under your own steam. That's exactly why the motif suits farewell gifts, sports club decorations and anything that should say summer, lakes and new adventures.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do: keep the untreated wood dry and away from constant moisture, and it will keep its shape and light appearance for a long time. If you oil or varnish it, the surface becomes even more hard-wearing.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the paddle? Yes. The wood is untreated and takes paints, glues and oils well – coating, painting, decorating and oiling are no problem at all.
Why does the paddle have a brown edge? That's the typical edge left by laser cutting. It's part of the process and also ensures smooth, clean edges without splinters.
Do all paddles look exactly the same? The shape does, the wood doesn't. As a natural material, wood varies in shade and may show small knots or irregularities in the grain – every piece is unique.
How wide is the paddle? The width depends on the height you choose: at a height of 10 cm, the paddle is 1.5 cm wide.
In the end, it's not about a wooden cutout. It's about the moment a simple piece of wood becomes your design – painted, lettered and exactly as you imagined it. Just choose your size and quantity and get started.
