Why this wooden panda bear makes a difference in everyday life
A ready-cut motif takes care of the most time-consuming part of crafting. What's left is the fun part: decorating. Whether at the kitchen table with the kids or quietly in the evening, you hold a piece of real wood instead of printed paper. The result is sturdy and long-lasting. It works well on display as decoration.
Material & finish
The panda is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This gives it the typical, lightly browned edge. It comes with this cutting method and defines the outline of the motif. The top side has the scored contours with face and markings. The underside is left natural. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why paint and glue stick particularly well. Wood is a purely natural material, so the shade and grain always vary a little. Small knots are normal. This makes every piece one of a kind. Every panda is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden panda bear
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own panda. At the end of the party, they take a homemade keepsake home.
- In the nursery: several pandas in different sizes on the wall or as a mobile. The room gets a lovingly designed theme.
- As a gift tag: a small panda with a name written on it, attached to the parcel. Your present feels more personal before it's even unwrapped.
- At nursery or primary school: with sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, you have identical blanks for the whole group. The craft morning is quickly prepared.
- In the shop window or at the counter: a large panda up to 50 cm for zoo, animal or nature themes. Set up or hung in a few minutes.
Good to know about the panda bear
The panda has been the WWF's emblem since 1961. It is a worldwide symbol of nature conservation and of treating nature with care. So the motif suits more than the nursery and party decorations. It also fits projects about animals and nature at nursery, school or in the shop window.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the untreated wooden cutout in a dry place and avoid lasting moisture. This keeps the surface stable and looking good for a long time. If you want to make it more durable, you can paint, oil or varnish it after decorating.
