The squares are made from 3 mm plywood. They are laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. The laser cut gives smooth edges without splinters. It also leaves the typical brown edge, which frames each piece finely. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. So you can paint, oil, decorate or stamp it, just as you like. As a natural material, every square shows its own grain. Shades can vary and small knots are normal. This makes every piece unique. It is not a flaw.

Can I paint the wooden squares or stick things on them? Yes. The plywood is untreated and can be painted, oiled, decorated or stamped.
