Material & finish

This cutout is made from 3 mm thick plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Laser cutting leaves the typical brown edge along the sides. This is part of the process and gives the motif a clear, crisp outline. The top side carries the contour cut. The underside is left natural. The wood is untreated, not varnished or glazed. That is why it takes paint and glue well. Wood is a purely natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. This is exactly what makes every rainbow one of a kind.
