Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Outside, a grey afternoon is drawing in. Inside, craft supplies are spread across the table. And right in the middle lies a wooden umbrella decoration, just waiting for some colour. The wooden umbrella is a laser-cut plywood cutout. You can paint it, stick things on it or simply leave it natural, just as you like. It's made for your next crafting afternoon. That's how a simple silhouette becomes your own window decoration, garland or place card.
What changes for you
- You're free to design it just the way you imagine – because the wood is untreated and can be painted, decorated, varnished or oiled.
- You'll find the right size for every project, from small table scatter pieces to large single motifs. Widths range from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can start decorating straight away. There's no sanding or finishing needed, because the edges are laser-cut and smooth.
- You can craft with children in a relaxed way. The clean finish and the easy-to-handle shape make this cutout a great motif for painting.
- You can also kit out larger projects such as garlands or shop window displays without extra effort. Sets of 10 to 100 pieces make it easy.
Why this wooden umbrella makes a difference in everyday life
Ready-made decorations often look the same everywhere. A motif you design yourself is clearly your own work. With the wooden umbrella, you bring home a basic shape that can become something new depending on the season and your mood. Try an autumn window decoration, an umbrella to decorate for the children's room window or a summery picture. The plywood has a smooth, light surface. It goes with almost any interior style.
Material & finish
The cutout is made from 3 mm plywood and is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Laser cutting creates the typical brown edge. It gives the motif a finely drawn outline. The edges are smooth, so nothing splinters or scratches. The wood is untreated, not varnished or glazed. Paints, glues and oils adhere well, and the natural grain stays visible. As a purely natural material, wood is never completely uniform. Differences in shade, small knots and fine textures are part of it. They make every piece unique and are not a defect.

How to use the wooden umbrella
- On a rainy weekend: you paint the umbrellas together with the children. By the evening, a homemade garland hangs in the window, and everyone is proud of it.
- For autumn decorations: arrange a few umbrellas in different sizes on the windowsill. The season has visibly arrived in your home.
- As a place card for a celebration: write a name on each umbrella. Your guests will find their seats with a smile.
- In a shop or café: decorate your shop window or counter with the silhouettes to suit the season. Thanks to sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces, you get larger quantities without searching around.
- Our tip for summer: With a splash of colour, the silhouette quickly turns into a parasol. That way you can also use the cutout for summery window pictures, garlands or place cards.
Good to know about umbrellas
Historically, the umbrella was first used for protection from the sun. Only later did it become protection from the rain. This double role opens up two directions. Left natural or in muted tones, the umbrella becomes a decoration for autumn and dreary weather. In bright colours, it becomes a parasol for your summer decorations.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Store the cutouts in a dry place and avoid constant moisture, as the wood is untreated. If you want to use the motifs outdoors or on a damp window, a coat of paint or oil protects the surface. That way your decoration will look good for a long time.
