The underside is left natural. The wood is neither lacquered nor glazed, so you can start straight away with paint, glue or oil. As a purely natural material, each piece shows its own grain and shade. Now and then there are small knots. This is not a flaw. It is exactly what makes every figure unique. The fawn is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.
