Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The birthday party has a knight's castle theme. Brushes and paints are ready. All that's missing is the right motif. This wooden knight's helmet is a blank made for your craft afternoon. It is untreated, smoothly laser-cut and open to any idea. Paint it, stick things on it or leave it natural. You decide what your medieval moment looks like.
What changes for you
- You can start right away. The poplar plywood is untreated and takes paint, glue or oil directly.
- Your motif fits exactly what you have in mind, from table scatter to wall decoration. You choose the height freely from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- Crafting with children stays relaxed. The laser-cut edges are smooth and need no sanding.
- You can kit out larger groups or projects with no extra effort. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces are available.
- Your decorations look like a matching set. The typical brown laser edge gives every helmet a clear, finely drawn outline.
Why this wooden knight's helmet makes a difference day to day
Ready-made decorations often look generic. A wooden blank, on the other hand, becomes your own piece. When crafting with children, the plain silhouette turns into a colourful knight's helmet. On the buffet at a themed birthday party, it carries the theme throughout. In a shop window, it becomes a display with its own style. You are not making just anything. You are making exactly what suits your occasion.
Material & finish
The silhouette is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut gives smooth edges and the typical brown rim that finely outlines the shape. It is neatly finished and pleasant to hold. The wood is untreated, not varnished or glazed. This means it takes paint, glue or oil well. Wood is a natural material, so every helmet turns out slightly different. Some are lighter, some darker, and some have small knots in the grain. This is what makes each piece one of a kind.

How to use the knight's helmet
- At a knight-themed birthday party: every child paints their own helmet. At the end, they take home a keepsake they designed themselves.
- Crafting with children at the weekend: get the paints out and put the helmets on the table. The afternoon has a theme that little knight fans love.
- For your medieval decorations: place a few helmets among candles and table decorations. The theme then runs through the whole room.
- In a shop window or shop: combine several sizes for a themed display. It is quick to set up and easy to change with the seasons.
- For clubs, schools and nurseries: with sets from 10 pieces, you can supply whole groups without reordering single pieces.
Good to know about the knight's helmet
The helmet with visor is one of the best-known symbols of the medieval knight. Hardly any other symbol stands so clearly for armour, castles and tournaments. That's why the silhouette works wherever the medieval theme should be recognisable at a glance. This ranges from children's birthday parties to castle festivals and shop window displays.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. Store the untreated wooden cutout in a dry place and keep it away from constant moisture. This keeps the natural material stable in shape and looking good for a long time. If you paint or oil the helmet, you give the surface extra protection.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the knight's helmet straight away? Yes. The wood is untreated and takes paint, glue or oil directly – no preparation needed.
Why does the helmet have a brown edge? The cutout is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge that finely outlines the shape. It is a feature of the process, not a flaw.
How wide is the helmet at the height I choose? The proportions stay the same: at a height of 10 cm, the width is 7.5 cm. From this, you can work out the width for any other height.
Do all helmets look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it varies in shade and may show small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.
Is the knight's helmet available in larger quantities? Yes. As well as single pieces, you can order sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces. They are ideal for groups, parties or shop decorations.
A wooden cutout is only the starting point. What matters is the moment a child proudly holds up their self-painted knight's helmet. Or the moment your medieval decorations look exactly as you pictured them. Simply choose your height and quantity. You design the rest.
