Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The children's birthday party is coming up, and the theme is set: knights and castles. All you need now are knight's helmets to craft. You can paint, decorate and embellish them with the children. That's exactly what this wooden knight's helmet is for. It's a laser-cut cutout in natural wood, made for your next craft project.
What changes for you
- You can start straight away, with no drawing first. The outlines of the helmet are already scored into the top surface.
- You design the helmet just the way you like. The untreated wood can be painted, decorated, varnished or oiled.
- You'll find exactly the size that suits your project. Choose from 5 cm for a school cone up to 50 cm for wall decoration, in 1 cm steps.
- Crafting with children stays relaxed, too. The edges are laser-cut smooth, with no rough spots.
- You can plan bigger events like birthdays or school projects without placing several orders. The helmet also comes in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden knight's helmet makes a difference in everyday life
A ready-made cutout takes care of the hardest part for you: the sawing. You focus on the fun part – designing, painting, decorating. Use it as a place card on the birthday table, as a motif on a school cone or hung on the wall. With just a few steps, the helmet makes your medieval theme visible in the room.
Material & finish
The knight's helmet is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives the edges the typical brown rim. It also gives the motif a clear, defined silhouette. The top shows the scored outline. The underside is left natural. Wood is a purely natural material, so every piece turns out a little different. Some are lighter, some darker, each with its own grain and the occasional small knot. That's what makes every cutout one of a kind. The helmet is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, and cleanly finished.

How to use the knight's helmet
- At a medieval-themed children's party: Every child paints their own helmet. At the end, they take home a keepsake they designed themselves.
- On a school cone: Stick on a small helmet as a motif. The cone becomes a knight's castle for the big day.
- As wall decoration in a child's bedroom: A large helmet, painted or oiled as you like. The knight's room gets its centrepiece.
- For schools, after-school clubs and craft groups: With the set of 25 or 50, there's a blank ready for every child. No cutting, no preparation time.
- For shop windows and shop decoration for a castle festival or medieval market: Arrange several helmets in different sizes. The theme is clear at a glance.
Good to know about the knight's helmet
In the Middle Ages, the helmet was much more than protection. In heraldry, it is still a fixed part of a complete coat of arms. It stands for honour and knightly descent. That's why the motif suits more than children's parties. It also works for castle festivals, medieval markets and any project about coats of arms and the age of knights.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. The plywood is untreated, so it's best to store the cutout somewhere dry. If you want to use it long-term or display it outdoors, you can paint or oil it. That way the motif stays looking good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the knight's helmet? Yes. The wood is untreated and natural – you can paint it, decorate it, varnish it or oil it.
Do I have to draw the outlines myself? No. The outlines of the helmet are already scored into the top surface. The underside is left natural.
Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The helmet is laser-cut. The brown rim on the smooth edges is typical of this cutting process.
Do all cutouts look the same? The shape does, the wood not quite. As a natural material, it varies in shade and may show small irregularities or knots. That makes every piece one of a kind.
A wooden cutout is only the starting point. What counts is the moment the children proudly hold up their hand-painted helmets and the knights' table is set. Simply choose your height and the number you need – the rest is up to you.
