Why this robin decoration makes a difference every day
A small wooden motif looks calmer and warmer than colourful plastic decorations. It fits in on the windowsill, on a wreath or on a laid table without taking over. At the same time, you have complete freedom. Today you leave it natural on a spring branch. Tomorrow you paint it with a red breast as a winter greeting. This turns a simple cutout into a decoration that changes with the seasons – and with your ideas.
Material & finish
The robin silhouette is made of 3 mm plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. This creates smooth, clean edges with the typical brown rim. The rim gives the motif a fine outline, with no finishing needed. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. It takes paint, glue or oil well. As a natural material, it shows different shades, textures and occasionally small knots. This is not a flaw. It is exactly what makes every robin unique.

- Crafting with children: Each child paints their own robin. It is a manageable project, and the result goes home with pride.
- On a wreath or arrangement: Place a wooden bird between moss and twigs. Your garden or door decoration instantly looks livelier.

Good to know about the robin
Many people see the robin as a bringer of luck. It is one of the most familiar garden birds. In Britain, it has traditionally appeared on Christmas cards since Victorian times. That is why the motif suits spring and garden decorations as well as winter and Christmas. It is a bird that stays with you all year round.
Care & durability
There is not much to do. Store the untreated wooden robins in a dry place and protect them from constant moisture. This way they keep their natural surface for a long time. If you want to use them outdoors, you can paint or oil the wood first, just as you like.
