Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The craft table is set with paints and brushes, and the children are already waiting. Or you're calmly planning the nautical decorations for your next party. A wooden rowing boat is made for your ideas. It's a clear plywood silhouette that you can paint, decorate or simply arrange as it is. A plain cutout becomes your very own decoration.
What changes for you
- You can start creating straight away, with no preparation. The wood is untreated and takes paint, glue or oil directly.
- Your decoration fits your project exactly. You choose the width freely from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps. From a small motif on a card to a large display in a shop window.
- Crafting with children or in a group is relaxed. The laser-cut edges are smooth, so nothing needs sanding.
- For larger projects, you don't need to order pieces one by one. The rowing boat also comes in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
- Your finished design looks natural. The typical brown laser edge frames the shape and gives it a clear outline.
Why this wooden rowing boat makes a difference in everyday life
Ready-made decorations often look the same everywhere. A wooden cutout you design yourself carries your personal touch – in your colours, with your idea. The flat silhouette also resembles a canoe. With little effort, it brings a seaside feel to greeting cards, window pictures or small gifts. An ordinary afternoon at the craft table becomes something you're happy to show off.
Material & finish
The rowing boat is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it smooth edges and a clean shape, even in fine details. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The wood is left untreated, so it is neither varnished nor stained. You decide whether to paint, oil or decorate it. Wood is a natural material, so every surface turns out a little different. Some pieces are lighter, some darker, and some have small knots or irregularities in the grain. This makes every piece unique – it is not a defect.

How to use the wooden rowing boat
- At the craft table with children: each child paints their own boat. In the end, a whole colourful fleet sits on the windowsill.
- At a summer party or christening: a small boat at each place as a name card. Your guests know straight away where to sit and take home a keepsake.
- On greeting cards and gifts: glue on a small rowing boat, and a plain card becomes a nautical greeting that stands out in the letterbox.
- In a shop, café or at the market: larger wooden rowing boats in the window or on the counter. Your summer or holiday decorations are up in a few minutes, without a decorator.
- For nursery, school or craft groups: with sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, every participant gets the same motif. And you don't have to cut anything out in advance.
Good to know about the rowing boat
The boat has long been a symbol of life's journey. That's why you see it so often as a motif for christenings, First Communion and confirmation. So when you buy a wooden rowing boat, you get more than nautical summer decor. You also get a meaningful motif for special occasions.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Untreated plywood lasts best when used in dry conditions and kept away from constant moisture. If you want to use it outdoors, give it a protective coat of paint or stain first. That way your boat keeps its shape and colour for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the rowing boat? Yes. The wood is untreated and can be painted, oiled, decorated or designed in other ways. Paint adheres directly to the natural surface.
Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The rowing boat is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge. It also gives a smooth cut surface that needs no finishing.
How tall is the boat at my chosen width? The proportions stay the same: at 10 cm wide, the height is 2 cm. From this you can work out the height for any other width.
Do all cutouts look exactly the same? The shape does, the wood not quite. As a natural material, it can be lighter or darker and may show small knots. This is normal and makes every piece unique.
Picture the moment your self-designed boat hangs in the window or sits on the party table. And someone asks where you got it. Simply choose your width and quantity and get started.
