Easter is just around the corner and the children want to get crafting. Or your shop window still needs a figure you can design exactly the way you imagine. A wooden sheep in its natural shape is made for your craft table. You paint it, stick things on it or oil it, just as it suits your decorations. This turns a simple wooden cutout into your very own wooden sheep – for the spring table, the children's room or the shop counter.

What changes for you

  • You can design it however you like – the plywood is untreated, so you can paint it, stick things on it or oil it.
  • You'll find the right size for every idea, as the width can be chosen from 3 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps – from a tiny table scatter sheep to a large window figure.
  • You can get started right away, with no sanding or finishing – the laser-cut edges are smooth and cleanly cut.
  • Bigger projects are easy too, such as a craft afternoon at nursery or seasonal decor in your shop – thanks to sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
  • You're holding a piece of nature, where every figure is one of a kind thanks to its own wood grain.

Why this wooden sheep makes a difference every day

A wooden sheep feels matt and smooth in your hand. There is no plastic shine, just the open-pored wood surface that takes paint, oil or glue well. Because you design the figure yourself, your decoration carries your own signature. It might be brightly painted by little hands or subtly oiled for the spring table. Either way, the result looks personal and lovingly made. And if you often need wooden sheep for crafting, the choice of sizes and sets means you always have the right base to hand.

Material & finish

The wooden sheep is made from 3 mm plywood and laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. The laser cut gives smooth, clean edges. It also leaves the typical finely browned rim that defines the silhouette. The wood is left untreated – neither varnished nor glazed – so that paints, glues and oils adhere well. As a purely natural material, wood is never completely uniform. Variations in shade, fine structures in the grain and small knots are normal and make each piece unique. This is not a flaw, it is character.

How to use your wooden sheep

  • Crafting with children: every child paints their own sheep – and proudly takes home a figure they designed themselves.
  • For Easter decor: scatter a few small wooden sheep among twigs and eggs on the table – and the spring mood is there, with hardly any effort.
  • For the nativity scene or the seasonal table: choose the right size and the sheep fits in with the rest of your decorations. It won't look too big or too small.
  • In the shop, café or at the weekly market: large sheep in the window or on the counter catch the eye – and with the sets you can decorate several areas consistently in one go.
  • As a gift tag or table scatter: tie small 3 cm sheep onto a parcel or spread them across the festive table. It is a handmade detail that gets noticed.

Good to know about the sheep

For centuries, the lamb has been one of the best-known Easter symbols, standing for peace and new beginnings in Christian tradition. That's why the wooden sheep suits not only spring and Easter decor but also christenings, First Communions and the Christmas nativity scene – a motif that accompanies you all year round.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do: simply wipe off dust with a dry cloth. As the wood is untreated, avoid constant moisture – indoors, the figure will keep its shape and look good for years. Painting or oiling it gives the surface extra protection.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or decorate the wooden sheep? Yes. The plywood is untreated, so paints, glues and oils adhere well to the surface.

How tall is the sheep at a given width? As a reference: at a width of 10 cm, the height is 7.5 cm. The proportions stay the same for all sizes.

Why does the figure have a brown edge? The edge is created during laser cutting and is typical of this process. It gives the silhouette a clear outline – and the edges are still smooth.

Do all the sheep look the same? The shape is identical, the wood isn't: as a natural material, it shows variations in shade, fine grain and occasionally small knots. Every piece is unique.

Do I need to sand the edges? No. Thanks to laser cutting, the edges are already smooth, so you can start creating straight away.

In the end, it's not about a wooden cutout. It's about the moment your own sheep stands on the Easter table and someone asks: "You made that?" Just choose your size and quantity – and get started.
