We laser-cut the disc from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck. The laser cut gives smooth edges without splinters. They feel pleasant to the touch and are safe when crafting with children. The slightly brown edge is typical of this process. The wood is untreated, so it is neither varnished nor glazed. Paints, glue and oils stick directly, with no sanding needed. Wood is a purely natural material. Brightness and grain vary a little from disc to disc, small knots included. This makes every piece one of a kind. It is not a defect.
