Why this wooden sword makes a difference in everyday use
Ready-made decorations often look generic. A wooden sword you paint yourself tells your own story. Use it as table decoration for a medieval theme, as a table scatter piece on the birthday table or in a shop window. The clear shape is recognisable at once, and you choose the colour and style yourself. So the result suits your occasion – you don't have to adapt to the decoration.
Material & finish
The sword is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This gives a clean, precise outline and smooth edges. They feel pleasant to the touch and are easy to work with. The wood is untreated, so you can do anything with it: paint it, decorate it or oil it. As a natural material, it varies in shade, shows fine grain patterns and sometimes has small knots. This is not a flaw. It is exactly what makes each piece unique.

How to use the wooden sword
- At a knight-themed children's party: each child paints their own sword – and takes home a keepsake they designed themselves.
- At a themed party or medieval feast: a small sword at each place as a place card or table scatter – and the theme is clear as soon as everyone sits down.
- At nursery or school: with a set of 25 or 50, the whole group can craft at the same time – and you don't have to cut anything out by hand.
- As a wooden sword template: place the shape on paper, fabric or a wall and trace the outline. This lets you transfer the design neatly onto any surface.
- For shop and window displays: combine several sizes to build a complete arrangement quickly. You can simply rearrange it for the next occasion.
Good to know about the sword
Since the Middle Ages, the sword has been a symbol of knighthood. At a knighting ceremony, the blade was laid on the squire's shoulder. That is why the design still works so well for knight parties, medieval themed parties and children's birthdays. It needs no explanation – everyone sees the adventure behind it straight away.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. In a dry environment, the untreated wood keeps its shape and looks good for a long time. Avoid constant moisture. If you treat the sword with paint or oil, you protect the surface further and keep your design for years.
