Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The children's birthday party is coming up, and the theme is clear: knights. All you need now are little swords to paint, for the invitations or as party favours at each place. That's exactly what this sword silhouette in 3 mm poplar plywood is made for at your craft table. It's natural and untreated, with cleanly lasered edges. You can choose any height from 5 to 50 cm. That covers everything from table scatter size to a large decorative sword.
What changes for you
- You can start crafting straight away, with no sawing or sanding. Every sword is laser cut and has smooth edges.
- The contours inside the sword are marked on the top as a laser scored outline. This works well as a guide when painting, including with children.
- You decorate it just the way you like. The wood is untreated. You can paint it, glue things on, write on it or oil it.
- You get exactly the size your project needs. Choose in 1 cm steps from 5 to 50 cm. Buy it single or as a set for larger craft groups.
- You can plan instead of guessing. The proportions always stay the same: at 10 cm high, the sword is 2 cm wide.
Why this sword silhouette makes a difference in everyday use
A ready-cut shape takes care of the hardest part for you. You're left with the best part: decorating. Use it for a knight party, a themed shop window or as a gift tag. The sword is instantly recognisable. Because it's real wood, it looks natural rather than brightly coloured and generic. A simple craft idea becomes a small piece of decoration that people like to hold and like to give.
Material & finish
Every sword is laser cut from 3 mm poplar plywood in our own production in Pößneck. This gives a clean, precise cut and even edges with no finishing needed. The top has the scored outline. The underside stays natural and smooth. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor stained. That's why it takes paints, glue and oils well. Wood is a natural material. Slight colour differences, fine grain and small knots are normal. This makes every piece one of a kind.

How to use the sword silhouette
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own little sword. At the end of the knight party, they take home a keepsake they made themselves.
- As a money gift: glue folded notes onto a sword and add a message. The envelope becomes a gift people will remember.
- As a Father's Day craft: a painted sword with a personal message says more than any shop-bought card. And it's done in one craft session.
- For schools, nurseries and youth groups: with a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces, every participant gets the same blank. You can prepare the craft session in minutes.
- In a shop or shop window: several swords in different sizes quickly set up a tidy medieval or themed display. It only takes a few moves to arrange.
Good to know about the sword
Since the Middle Ages, the sword has been the classic symbol of the knight. At a knighting ceremony, it was laid solemnly on the shoulder of the kneeling person. So the silhouette suits knight birthdays and medieval fairs. It also works for carnival, theatre projects and any decoration with castles and heroes.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store it somewhere dry and dust it when needed. As the wood is untreated, protect it from constant moisture. If you paint or oil it, the surface stays looking good for a long time and the shape holds.
