Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.A bare wall, a half-finished craft project or the idea for a honeycomb wall in your living room – and all you need is the right basic shape. These wooden hexagons are made for your next project: hexagon cutouts from plywood, precisely laser-cut and available in any size from 1 to 50 cm. That way, an idea turns straight into a piece of décor that really suits you.
What changes for you
- You get exactly the size your project needs – because every hexagon can be ordered from 1 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can start crafting, painting or decorating straight away – thanks to smooth edges and the clean finish of the laser cut.
- Your wall décor stays put without drilling or screws – if you choose the version with a self-adhesive back, the ultra-thin 3M adhesive film sticks to almost any flat surface.
- If you like, you can skip staining them yourself. The coloured wood protection stain is applied in several layers. Depending on the light, the grain still shows through.
- The stain meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3. This excludes the metallic stains silver, gold, copper and bronze.
Why these wooden hexagons make a difference every day
A wooden hexagon brings calm and structure to your wall or craft table. The clear shape creates order. The natural material adds warmth. You might design a whole honeycomb wall or hang single hexagons on their own. Either way, the clear shape structures the wall without cluttering it. And because you combine the sizes freely, you get an arrangement that exists only once.
Material & finish
The hexagons are made of 3 mm plywood. They are laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut gives smooth edges and the typical brown rim that gives each hexagon its character. Wood is a purely natural material. Its shade varies, the grain shows different structures, and there may be small knots. This makes each piece unique, not faulty.

- As table decoration for a celebration: write on hexagons to use as place cards – and your guests find their seat along with a little keepsake.
- In a café or shop: write prices or product names on hexagons and fix them to the counter – your goods look lovingly presented, and setting up is quick.
- For your workshop and DIY projects: stain, decorate or label the untreated cutouts to suit your idea. The smooth surface takes paint evenly.
Good to know about the hexagon
The hexagon is considered one of nature's most efficient shapes: bees build their honeycombs in hexagons because the cells fit together without gaps. That's exactly why hexagons work so well for wall décor – you can extend your honeycomb pattern seamlessly with as many hexagons as you like and let your project grow piece by piece.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do: an occasional dry dusting is enough to keep the hexagons looking lovely for a long time. Avoid constant moisture – plywood is a natural material and is happiest indoors in dry conditions.
