The starfish is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. That is why it has smooth edges with the typical brown rim, which gives the silhouette a fine outline. The wood is untreated. It is neither varnished nor glazed, and it takes paints, varnishes and oils well. Wood is a purely natural material. It varies in shade, shows a lively grain and may have small knots. This makes every piece unique. The starfish is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, and is carefully finished.
