Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Outside, the leaves are glowing. On the table, conkers, moss and twigs are waiting. Only the porcini in the middle is missing. A wooden porcini mushroom with scored outline brings just the woodland motif that completes your autumn decorations. It's made for your autumn table. Leave it natural, paint it or decorate it during autumn crafts with children. The ready-cut laser cutout becomes your very own piece.
What changes for you
- You can start creating straight away instead of sawing first. The porcini already comes neatly laser-cut.
- Your motif looks finished even unpainted. The fine scored outline on the top shows the cap and stem at a glance.
- You choose the colour and style. The untreated plywood can be painted, decorated with glued-on materials, oiled or coated. Paints stick directly.
- Your decoration always suits its setting. Choose the height in 1 cm steps, from 3 cm for a place card to 50 cm for a shop window.
- Crafting with children stays relaxed. The laser-cut edges are smooth, free of splinters and need no finishing.
Why this wooden porcini makes a difference every day
Autumn decorations work best with natural materials. A motif made of real wood fits into an arrangement quite differently from plastic or cardboard. The porcini brings calm and warmth to a windowsill, table or counter without taking over. And because you decide on the size and design yourself, you end up with decorations that really suit your home or your business.
Material & finish
The porcini is made from 3 mm plywood and laser-cut. This gives a precise shape and smooth edges that feel pleasant to the touch. The outlines are scored into the top, while the underside stays natural. The wood is neither varnished nor glazed. So acrylic paints, wood stains, oils and glue stick reliably. As a natural material, every piece shows its own grain. Differences in shade and small knots are not flaws. They make each cutout one of a kind. The porcini is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the porcini
- Crafting with children on an autumn afternoon: everyone paints their own mushroom. By the evening, a little mushroom family stands on the windowsill.
- For autumn table decorations: combine the porcini with whatever you find on your walk. Just like crafting with conkers, this creates an arrangement your guests can explore even before the meal.
- In the window of a bakery or farm shop: a large mushroom at 40 or 50 cm draws attention and gets customers in the mood for the autumn season. It's set up in just a few minutes.
- At a market stall: several mushrooms as a set mark your seasonal range. They make for a lovingly presented display without much effort when setting up.
- As a gift tag or table scatter: the small sizes from 3 cm decorate parcels and harvest festival tables. A detail people remember.
Good to know about the porcini
The porcini is also known as the penny bun, cep or by its botanical name Boletus. For many people, it sums up autumn in the woods. That's exactly why the motif works so well. It instantly brings to mind woodland walks and mushroom baskets. So it suits autumn decorations, harvest festival and seasonal displays in shop windows and at market stalls.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. If needed, simply dust it off with a dry cloth. As the wood is untreated, avoid constant moisture and wet conditions. Indoors, the cutout will then keep its shape and look good for a long time. If you want to use it outdoors, protect the wood with paint, a wood stain or an oil.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the porcini or glue things onto it? Yes. The plywood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. Acrylic paints, wood stains, oils and glue stick directly to the surface.
Is the scored outline on both sides? No. The outlines are on the top. The underside stays natural and smooth.
Is the cutout suitable for outdoor use? Untreated, it's intended for indoor use. For outdoor use, paint, oil or stain the wood first.
Why do the cutouts look slightly different? Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. That's exactly what makes each mushroom one of a kind.
How wide is the mushroom at a particular height? As a reference: at 10 cm high, it's approx. 7.5 cm wide. The proportions stay the same for all sizes.
A piece of plywood is just the start. It becomes an afternoon when a few brushstrokes turn into your own autumn decoration. And a glance at the windowsill that reminds you of it every day. Simply choose the size and quantity. You design the rest.
