The congratulations card for the new baby is on the table. The door wreath is still waiting for its final detail. All that's missing is a motif that says straight away what it's all about. A wooden stork does exactly that. It has a clear silhouette that you can paint, decorate or simply leave natural, just as you like. You can choose a height from 5 to 50 cm. So this wooden stork suits any craft project, from small table scatter to large wall decorations.

What changes for you

  • You design the stork exactly as you imagine it. The plywood is untreated, so you can paint it, stick things on it, coat it or oil it.
  • Your birth and christening decorations look lovingly made rather than random. That's thanks to the cleanly laser-cut stork silhouette with its typical brown edge.
  • You'll find the right size for every project. You choose the height freely from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • No need for sanding afterwards. The laser cut leaves the edges smooth and clean.
  • Larger projects are easy to kit out too. Order single pieces or a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100.

Why this wooden stork makes a difference in everyday life

On the gift table, on a card or on a wreath: a motif made of real wood feels warmer and more personal than any printed version. You're holding a piece of natural material. Its smooth plywood surface and clean stork silhouette fit into any decoration. And because you decide on the size and design yourself, the stork decoration ends up matching your occasion exactly – not the other way round.

Material & finish

The stork is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut gives smooth edges and the characteristic brown edge, which adds extra contour to the silhouette. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. This means paints, glues and oils adhere directly to the surface. As a purely natural material, every piece is unique. Differences in shade, fine structures in the grain or small knots are not flaws. They make your stork one of a kind.

How to use the wooden stork

  • For a birth among friends: you paint a large stork with the name and date – and the gift instantly carries your own handwriting.
  • At a christening: small storks scattered across the gift table – and the table tells guests about the occasion as soon as they sit down.
  • On a congratulations card: glue on a mini stork – and a simple card becomes a little keepsake.
  • On a door wreath: work in the stork silhouette – and it's clear at the front door that a new arrival is being celebrated here.
  • In a café, shop or at the weekly market: with a set of 25, 50 or 100 pieces, you can decorate your counter or shop window with a consistent birth theme and little effort.

Good to know about the stork

For centuries, the stork has been seen as a lucky charm. To this day it is the best-known symbol for a new baby – after all, they say the stork brings the babies. That's exactly why the motif suits births, christenings and baby showers so well. A wooden stork for a birth needs no explanation. Every guest understands it at first glance.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Keep the untreated stork dry and simply wipe off dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid constant moisture. If you paint or oil the stork, you decide on the surface and protection yourself. That way the wood stays looking good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint the stork or stick things on it? Yes. The plywood is untreated, so paints, glues and oils adhere directly to the surface. You can paint, oil or decorate the stork, or use it in its natural state.

Why does the stork have a brown edge? The edge forms when the wood is laser-cut. It is part of the cutting process, gives smooth edges and lends the silhouette a clear contour.

Does every stork look exactly the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it shows different shades, fine structures and occasionally small knots. Every piece is unique.

How wide is the stork? The width depends on the height you choose. For reference: at a height of 10 cm, the stork is 8.5 cm wide.

The wooden figure is only part of it. What matters is the moment when someone sees your card, your wreath or the gift table and feels how much thought has gone into it. Just choose your height and quantity – and get started.
