Why this wooden fir tree makes a difference every day
A lot of Christmas decorations quickly look colourful and busy. A wooden fir tree does the opposite. The warm natural material brings calm to your windowsill, dining table or sideboard. It suits almost any interior style. The tree stands as a three-dimensional wooden frame instead of lying flat. So even a single piece looks lovingly arranged, with very little effort.
Material & finish
The slot-together wooden fir tree is laser cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut leaves smooth edges and the typical brown rim. This gives each tree a fine, drawn look. The wood is left untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why it reliably takes paint, glue and oil. As a pure natural material, every piece shows its own grain. Some are lighter, some darker, and some have small knots. This isn't a flaw. It's what makes each tree unique.

How to use the slot-together fir tree
- On the windowsill in Advent: Place three trees of different heights side by side. This creates a little winter forest that you can see from inside and outside.
- At a craft afternoon: Each child paints their own tree. At the end, homemade Christmas decorations sit on the dining table.
- As table decoration for Christmas dinner: Put a small tree at every place setting. Your guests have something to smile about before the first course.
- In bakeries and cafés: Place the trees on the sales counter or buffet to frame stollen and biscuits for Christmas. They're set up in a few moves. After the season, they're stored away in very little space.
- As a gift idea: Paint the tree, write on it and add it to a present. It's a personal greeting that lasts.
Good to know about the Christmas tree
For centuries, the evergreen fir has been a sign of life and hope in the middle of winter. This gave rise to the tradition of the decorated Christmas tree. A small wooden fir tree picks up exactly this symbol. It brings it to places with no room for a big tree: your windowsill, desk or shop counter.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Simply wipe off dust with a dry cloth. Protect the tree from constant moisture, as the wood is untreated. After the holidays, pull the two pieces apart. Store them flat and dry. Next Advent, your decoration is ready again in a few seconds.

Frequently asked questions
How do I put the tree together? Simply slot the two laser-cut wooden pieces into each other. You don't need tools or glue. This gives you a three-dimensional tree that stands firmly.
Can I paint the fir tree or stick things on it? Yes. The poplar plywood is untreated and takes paint, glue and oil well. It's ideal for crafting, decorating and painting.
Where does the brown rim on the edges come from? It is created by the laser and is typical of this type of cut. The edges are smooth and don't need any finishing.
Does every tree look the same? The shape is identical, but the wood isn't. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain and sometimes has small knots. Every piece is unique.
It's only two pieces of plywood. Yet your windowsill suddenly looks like Christmas, and you smile every time you walk past. Just choose your height and quantity. You'll slot the rest together in seconds.
