Why this wooden cutout makes a difference every day
Anything homemade always tells a story. A clear basic shape takes the hardest part off your hands. You don't have to draw and cut out a silhouette. You can focus entirely on decorating: painting, gluing, writing. An afternoon at the kitchen table turns into a decoration that really suits you. Hang it on the kitchen wall, tie it to a gift or place it on the tea table.
Material & finish
- Plywood, 3 mm thick – light enough to hang, sturdy enough to stand up and work with.
- Laser cut with smooth edges and the characteristic brown edge – a clean finish without splinters.
- Untreated wood in its natural state: you can paint it, oil it, glue on it or decorate it, just as you like.
- Wood is a purely natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. That makes every item one of a kind.
- Made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden teapot
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own little teapot. At the end, a colourful row of teapots hangs in the kitchen.
- As a Mother's Day gift: write on the teapot and tie it to a packet of her favourite tea. The gift feels personal before it's even unwrapped.
- For teatime: spread small teapots across the table as table scatter. Your table gets a theme without much decorating.
- On the kitchen wall: paint a large teapot in 30, 40 or 50 cm and hang it up. It stays in the same spot and shapes how the wall looks.
- As a gift tag: write a name on the teapot and attach it to the ribbon. The parcel reaches the right person without a label.
- In a café or tea shop: use it as a price tag, shelf decoration or tag on tea tins. The silhouette shows at a glance what it's about. It also keeps your display consistent.
Good to know about the teapot
In northern Germany, people often call a teapot a "Teepott". Tea culture is still part of everyday life there, and teatime is a ritual of its own. That's why this silhouette suits anything to do with cosy tea moments. Use it to decorate your tea corner, as a tag on a tea gift or as table scatter at an afternoon coffee and cake table.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. As the wood is untreated, it keeps well for a long time in dry indoor spaces. Avoid constant damp and wet conditions. Or paint or oil the teapot before use for extra protection of the surface.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the teapot or glue things onto it? Yes. The plywood is untreated, so it's neither varnished nor glazed. Paints, glues, glazes and oils adhere directly to the surface.
Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The teapot is laser cut. This creates the typical dark edge along the sides. It's part of the cutting process and looks like a fine outline.
How tall is the teapot at a given width? The proportions stay the same: at a width of 10 cm, the height is 7 cm. From this you can work out the height for any other width.
Do all cutouts look exactly the same? The shape does, the wood not quite. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain, and small knots are normal. That makes every piece one of a kind.
A wooden cutout is only the starting point. What counts is the moment someone holds the teapot you decorated and realises: you came up with this just for me. Simply choose your width and quantity – and get started.
