Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Just before Halloween, in the middle of carnival season or simply on a crafting afternoon with children: you're looking for a motif with instant character. That's where this wooden devil silhouette comes in. The laser-cut plywood cutout is untreated. It's ready for you to paint, stick things on or simply display as it is. Made for your next craft idea.
What changes for you
- You can get started straight away with painting, gluing or decorating – because the wood is untreated and takes paint, glue and oil well.
- You can craft with children in a relaxed way, without worrying about rough spots. The laser-cut edges are smooth.
- You'll find the right size for every idea, from a small piece scattered on cards to a large wall motif. You choose the height freely from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can kit out larger projects in one go. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces are available, for example for school, clubs or children's parties.
- Your devil decorations look planned rather than thrown together. All figures have the same clean silhouette.
Why this devil silhouette makes a difference
A ready-cut motif takes care of the hardest part for you: sawing it out. You focus on the fun part – designing, painting, decorating. And you end up with a cleanly cut result in your hands. In the window, as a small detail on an invitation or on the wall: the devil brings seasonal atmosphere to your decorations with little effort.
Material & finish
The devil is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a clear, almost drawn outline. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. So you can pick up the figure straight away and keep working on it. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a natural material, so every piece turns out a little different. Shades vary, each has its own grain, and some have small knots. This makes every figure unique – it's not a flaw, it's the nature of wood.

How to use the wooden devil
- Crafting with children: every child paints their own devil. At the end, they proudly take home a figure they designed themselves.
- For Halloween or carnival decorations: put a few large silhouettes in the window or on the wall. The room instantly has the right theme.
- On cards and invitations: stick on the small sizes as scattered pieces. Your post stands out as soon as it's opened.
- In cafés, bakeries or at market stalls: use it as a seasonal motif in your counter decorations. You can change your shop window quickly, without a big set-up.
- For schools, nurseries and clubs: with sets from 10 pieces, every group has identical material. This saves preparation and gives a consistent result.
Good to know about the devil
Devil figures have a long tradition in German-speaking folk customs. Examples are the Krampus, who accompanies St Nicholas in the Alpine region, and Walpurgis Night on 30 April. So the motif suits not only Halloween and carnival but also any occasion linked to these old customs. By the way, people also search for the silhouette under the name Satan.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Store the cutouts dry and flat, and they'll keep their shape for a long time. The wood is untreated, so protect it from constant moisture. Or paint or oil it before use, whatever suits your project.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the devil or stick things on it? Yes. The wood is untreated. You can paint it, oil it, stick things on it or decorate it in other ways.
Why does the figure have a brown edge? The cutout is laser-cut. The brown edge comes from this process and is typical of this cutting method. It also gives smooth edges and a clear outline.
Do all figures look the same? The shape is always identical, but wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots can vary. This makes every piece unique.
Is the cutout suitable for outdoor use? The wood is untreated and should be protected from constant moisture. For outdoor use, we recommend painting or oiling the figure first.
