Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The craft table is set. Paints and brushes are ready. All that's missing is the shape that turns an idea into something you can hold. This wooden trapezium is made for exactly that kind of craft afternoon. It is an isosceles trapezium made of plywood. It is untreated and ready for whatever you have in mind. Decorations, model making or hands-on geometry: you can start straight away without sawing anything yourself.
What changes for you
- You get exactly the size your project needs. The trapezium can be chosen from 2 x 1 cm to 50 x 25 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can start painting, gluing or oiling straight away. The wood is untreated and takes paint and glue well.
- You work with clean, smooth edges and no sanding. That's thanks to the precise laser cut.
- You save yourself separate orders for larger projects. The cutout also comes in sets of 10, 25, 50 and 100.
- You get hands-on geometry for lessons and pattern games. The shape is an exact isosceles trapezium.
Why this wooden trapezium makes a difference day to day
A ready-made basic shape takes care of the tedious part. It leaves you the fun part: designing. Instead of measuring, sawing and filing, you hold a clean shape in your hand. You can focus fully on colour, motif and idea. A craft afternoon with children, a decoration idea or lesson preparation leads to a result much faster. And it's a result you can be proud of.
Material & finish
The trapezium is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. That gives it the typical brown edge. This is a sign of laser cutting, which leaves a characteristic colouring on the cut edges. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. Every piece is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. You decide whether to paint it, oil it, stick things on it or leave it natural. As a natural material, each trapezium has its own shade and grain, small knots included. This is not a flaw. It is what makes every piece unique.

How to use the wooden trapezium
- Crafting with children: Each child paints their own trapezium. At the end, a colourful garland of their own shapes hangs in the children's room.
- Making Christmas decorations: Stack several trapeziums or arrange them side by side to create stylised fir trees. They make a calm, natural decoration for windowsill and table.
- In maths lessons: You put wooden geometry shapes into your pupils' hands. The isosceles trapezium turns from an abstract term into an object they can hold.
- In model making: You use the precisely fitting cutout as a component or cladding. That saves you cutting fiddly small parts.
- As a template: Place the trapezium on paper or fabric and trace the outline. That way you transfer the shape cleanly and can repeat it.
- In a shop or café: Write a price or variety name on the trapezium and it becomes a small sign for counter and shelf. Uniform, natural and quick to swap.
Good to know about the trapezium
The isosceles trapezium is symmetrical along its axis. Both legs are the same length, so the shape looks balanced and calm. That is why it works so well for pattern games, designs and garlands. You can line up several trapeziums, mirror them and combine them into new figures again and again.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. Stored dry, untreated plywood keeps its shape and look for a long time. Avoid constant moisture. Want to protect the trapezium or add colour? Simply oil, paint or varnish it.

Frequently asked questions
Is the wood treated? No, the plywood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint it, stick things on it, oil it or coat it straight away.
Why does the trapezium have a brown edge? It is cut by laser. This creates smooth edges with the typical brown laser edge.
Do all trapeziums look the same? The shape and dimensions are exact. The wood itself is a natural material, though. Shade and grain vary, and small knots are possible. Every piece is unique.
Can I order several at once? Yes, the trapezium is available singly and in sets of 10, 25, 50 and 100. That suits group projects, lessons or larger decoration plans, for example.
In your hands, a plain shape of plywood becomes something of your own. A garland, a model, a lightbulb moment in class. Just choose your size and quantity. You design the rest.
