Why this wooden Triceratops makes a difference in everyday use
When crafting with kids, it matters that you can get started quickly and the result looks good. A clearly recognisable wooden dino silhouette is the base for any project. Use it as a painted figure at each guest's place, as a tag on a school cone or as decoration in a child's bedroom. Instead of short-lived cardboard, you're holding a natural material that feels good and lasts a long time.
Material & finish
The Triceratops is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it the typical brown edge. It's a sign of laser cutting and gives the silhouette a finely drawn outline. The edges are smooth, so even small hands can craft with it safely. The wood is completely unfinished, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why paint, glue and oil stick to it especially well. As a natural material, wood is never completely uniform. Differences in shade, fine grain patterns and small knots are part of it. They make every piece one of a kind. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden Triceratops
- At a dinosaur-themed birthday party: Scatter small Triceratops across the birthday table as table scatter. The little guests' eyes will light up even before the cake arrives.
- Crafting with kids at home: Every child paints their own dino. At the end, they take home a keepsake they designed themselves.
- At nursery or school: With a set of 25, 50 or 100 pieces, the group project starts without any cutting. Every child has their blank in hand straight away.
- As decoration in a child's bedroom: A large Triceratops up to 50 cm wide, painted or left natural, on the wall. The dino theme is there for all to see.
- For presents: A small dino on the wrapping paper or tied to the ribbon. Even unwrapping becomes an experience.
Good to know about the Triceratops
The name Triceratops comes from Greek and means “three-horned face”. It's named after the three distinctive horns that also make the silhouette so easy to recognise. The Triceratops is one of the best-known and most popular dinosaurs among children. So the motif is recognised instantly on the birthday table or in a craft project.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Simply store the unfinished plywood somewhere dry and protect it from constant moisture. If you paint, coat or oil the surface, it becomes more durable. That way the silhouette keeps looking good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the wood? Yes. The surface is unfinished, neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint it, decorate it, coat it or oil it.
Why is the edge brown? The Triceratops is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge with smooth edges. No sanding is needed.
Do all cutouts look the same? The shape does, the wood not quite. As a natural material, plywood shows differences in shade, fine textures and small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.
How tall is the dino at the width I want? For reference: at 10 cm wide, the height is 4 cm. Other sizes follow the same ratio.
A wooden cutout is only the start. The best part is the moment a child holds up the dino they painted themselves and beams. Just choose your size and the number of pieces you need. Then the next dino adventure can begin.
