The Valentine cat is made of 3 mm plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Laser cutting gives clean, smooth edges with the typical brown rim. This is a typical feature of laser cutting and makes the figure look hand-crafted. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor stained. Paint and glue adhere well, and you're free to design it however you like. Wood is a natural material. Every piece shows its own grain and shades, and sometimes small knots. This is not a flaw. It's exactly what makes every cat one of a kind.
