You're sitting at the craft table. In front of you are paints, glue and an idea. All that's missing is a blank that simply works. That's exactly what this wooden wagon wheel is made for: your next craft idea. It's a cleanly laser-cut wagon wheel silhouette made of plywood. It's untreated and comes in your chosen size from 5 to 50 cm. You can get started straight away, with no sawing, sanding or cutting first.

What changes for you

  • You can start crafting, painting or decorating right away. The wood is untreated, so it takes paint, oil and glue directly.
  • Your shape fits your project exactly, from a small table scatter piece to a large wall piece. You can choose the width from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You get an even, clean result, even with lots of pieces at once. Every wagon wheel is laser-cut and has smooth edges.
  • You can plan bigger projects, school classes or market stalls with ease. The wagon wheel is available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.
  • Your finished piece has character. The typical brown laser edge frames the shape, and every piece of wood shows its own grain.

Why this wagon wheel makes a difference in everyday life

A good blank takes the tedious part off your hands and leaves you the fun part: designing. Instead of losing time cutting, you can go straight to the paint, the ribbon or the little message your wagon wheel should carry. A simple afternoon turns into something you can give away, hang up or place on the table. And you can see that it was made by hand.

Material & finish

The wagon wheel is laser-cut from 3 mm thick plywood. That gives it smooth edges and the typical brown rim, which outlines the shape finely. The wood is left natural, so it's neither varnished nor glazed. You decide whether to paint it, oil it, decorate it or leave it as it is. Wood is a natural material, so every piece turns out a little different. Some are lighter, some darker, with their own grain and occasionally small knots. That's what makes every wagon wheel one of a kind. It's made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wagon wheel

  • Crafting with children: every child paints their own wagon wheel. In the end, a colourful row of little artworks hangs in the children's room.
  • Crafting money gifts: thread rolled-up notes through the spokes or attach them with ribbon. An envelope becomes a gift people will remember.
  • Making Christmas decorations: paint small wagon wheels in 5 or 6 cm and add a ribbon. Your tree gets homemade ornaments.
  • As country-style wall or table decoration: a large wagon wheel up to 50 cm, oiled or painted. The room instantly looks more rustic.
  • For cafés, farm shops or market stalls: write on the wagon wheel with chalk paint and use it as a price tag or sign. Your goods look lovingly presented, with little effort.
  • For clubs, schools and craft groups: with the set of 25, 50 or 100, every participant gets the same blank. And you skip the cutting completely.

Good to know about the wagon wheel

The wagon wheel has been part of country life for centuries. To this day it stands for craftsmanship, farm life and permanence. That's why you often see it as decoration on farms, in gardens and at inns. So the shape suits country-style decor, harvest festivals, rustic parties and anywhere that should feel cosy and natural.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Indoors, the untreated wood needs no special care. If you want to protect it for the long term or add colour, you can paint, oil or glaze it. Keep the untreated wood away from constant moisture. Then it will stay stable in shape and look good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or decorate the wagon wheel? Yes. The wood is untreated. You can paint it, glue things to it, coat it or oil it – whatever your project needs.

Why does the wagon wheel have a brown edge? The brown edge comes from laser cutting and is typical of this cutting method. It gives smooth edges and outlines the shape finely.

Do all wagon wheels look the same? The shape is identical, the wood isn't. As a natural material, it can be lighter or darker and may show small knots or irregularities in the grain. This isn't a defect. It makes every piece unique.

Can I use the wagon wheel outdoors? The wood is untreated. For outdoor use, paint, oil or glaze it first to protect it from moisture.

How big is the wagon wheel at my chosen width? Width and height are the same. For example, if you choose a width of 10 cm, the wagon wheel is also 10 cm high.

This is about more than a wooden cutout. It's about the moment a plain piece of wood becomes your own one-of-a-kind creation – painted, given as a gift or hung up. Simply choose your size and quantity and get started.
