Why this wooden wagon wheel makes a difference every day
Ready-made decorations often look the same everywhere. A shape you decorate yourself tells your own story. The wagon wheel brings a country-house feel into your home. You choose the colour and size that suit your room. And because the blank is so straightforward, the crafting itself becomes a cosy moment. On your own or together at the kitchen table.
Material & finish
The wagon wheel is made from 3 mm thick plywood and laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. The cut creates the typical brown edge, which gives the shape a handcrafted look. It also leaves smooth edges without splinters. The wood is untreated, not varnished or glazed. You decide on the finish yourself. As a natural material, every wheel has its own structure. Shade, grain and small knots vary. This is not a flaw. It makes every piece unique.

- For Christmas decorations: paint a few wheels white or gold and hang them on ribbons. Your rustic Christmas decorations are ready.
- For farm and country-style designs: combine the wheel with figures or lettering on a door wreath. Your entrance looks lovingly made rather than shop-bought.
- In a farm shop, café or at the weekly market: on the counter or shelf, the wagon wheel adds a rural element to your display. It's quick to put up and lasts a long time.
Good to know about the wagon wheel
For centuries, the wooden wagon wheel was part of every cart and so part of country life. That's why it is still a popular symbol in farmhouse and country-style decorating today. It stands for craftsmanship, durability and a bit of rural cosiness. With this shape, you bring that into your home.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Untreated plywood stays looking good indoors for a long time if you keep it dry. Avoid constant moisture. If you want to use the wheel outdoors, protect it first with paint, varnish or oil.
