Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Autumn is here. Chestnuts and colourful leaves lie on the table. The windowsill is still waiting for the final detail. This wooden walnut is made for exactly that. It is a wood cutout in the shape of a walnut. You can leave it as it is or decorate it your way. That way you add a matching piece to your autumn and seasonal decorations without a long search.
What changes for you
- The laser cut and the typical brown edge of the walnut give your decorations a consistent, matching look.
- You decorate it exactly to your taste. The wood is left natural. You can cover it, paint it, oil it or embellish it.
- You will always find the right size for your project, from small table scatter to a large centrepiece. The width can be chosen from 5 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You skip the finishing work when crafting. The laser cut leaves smooth edges, so you can start straight away.
- You can plan larger projects with ease. The walnut is available individually or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden walnut makes a difference every day
A walnut made of real wood brings a calm, natural feel to the table. Shop-bought ready-made decorations often lack this. Place it on the windowsill, on the Advent wreath or as part of a lovingly arranged table setting. The motif fits in quietly and makes the room feel cosier. You decide whether it stays bare or gets decorated. So it adapts to your home, not the other way round.
Material & finish
The walnut is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This gives it smooth edges and the typical brown edge that adds depth to the motif. The contours inside the nut are scored into the top side by the laser. The underside is left natural. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. So it takes paint, glue or oil well. Wood is a purely natural material, so every piece turns out a little differently. Variations in shade, fine grain patterns or small knots are normal. They make every walnut one of a kind. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the walnut
- Crafting with children on an autumn afternoon: each child decorates their own nut with paint and glitter. By evening, a little work of art is hanging in the window.
- On the autumn dinner table: a walnut at each place, perhaps with the guest's name written on it. It works as a place card and decoration at once, before the first course arrives.
- On the Advent wreath or door wreath: the wooden walnut sits among twigs and cones as another natural element. It lasts the whole season.
- In the bakery, café or farm shop: several walnuts in the shop window or counter display during nut season. Your goods get a seasonal setting, and the display is up in a few minutes.
- For workshops and groups: with the sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, you have enough identical blanks for nursery, school or craft club. No need to reorder several times.
Good to know about the walnut
Walnuts have been part of autumn and Christmas for generations. You find them on the St Nicholas plate, on the Advent wreath or on the traditional Christmas plate of sweets and nuts. That is why the motif suits seasonal decorations from harvest festival to Christmas. It feels familiar straight away.
Care & durability
There is little you need to do. The wood is untreated, so an occasional dry dusting is enough. Avoid constant damp and wet. That way your walnut keeps its natural look for a long time. If you oil or paint it, you protect the surface further and give it your own colour.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the walnut or stick things on it? Yes. The wood is left natural, neither varnished nor glazed. Paints, glues and oils adhere well to it.
Why does the walnut have a brown edge? The edge is created during laser cutting and is part of its typical appearance. It also gives you smooth edges with no finishing work.
Do all walnuts look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it shows variations in shade, fine grain patterns and occasionally small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.
Is the walnut suitable for outdoor use? The wood is untreated and should be protected from constant damp. It is intended for sheltered indoor use. A suitable coat of paint or finish gives the surface extra protection.
What matters is not the wood cutout itself. It is the moment your autumn decorations are finished. Your own decorated walnut hangs in the window, and the room feels a little cosier. Simply choose your width and quantity. You design the rest.
