The Christmas dog is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. That's where the smooth edges and the typical brown rim come from, which outline the motif. The top side has the fine etched outline with the face and details. The underside stays natural. The wood is untreated, not varnished or glazed. So paint, glue and oil take well. Every piece comes from our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. As a natural material, the wood varies in shade. It shows fine grain patterns and occasionally small knots. This makes every piece one of a kind.

Is the wood treated? No, the cutout is left natural – neither varnished nor stained. So you can paint it, stick things on it, coat it or oil it straight away.

Is the motif visible on both sides? The etched outline with the face and details is on the top side. The underside stays natural.

Can I hang the dog up straight away? Yes, every motif has a ready-made hanging hole with a 3 mm diameter. Just thread a ribbon or string through and you're done.
