Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.A whisky fan's birthday is coming up. Or the bar corner in your living room still looks a bit bare. Or you're looking for a motif for your next craft session with a money gift idea. This wooden whisky glass is made for exactly that. It's an unfinished poplar plywood cutout that you can paint, stick things on or simply stand up as it is. A plain piece of wood becomes your very own decoration for the bar, kitchen or party table.
What changes for you
- Start painting, sticking or writing straight away – the wood is untreated and takes paint, glue and oil well.
- Your motif fits your project exactly, from a small place card to a large wall decoration – thanks to a height you can choose from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can carry on crafting without any sanding, even with children – because the edges are laser-cut and smooth, with no splinters.
- You don't have to saw out shapes by hand for larger projects such as garlands or money gifts – because the whisky glass also comes in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
- Your finished piece gets its own character – from the typical brown edge left by the laser, which finely traces the outline.
Why this wooden whisky glass makes a difference in everyday life
A motif you design yourself says more than off-the-shelf decorations. Maybe the painted whisky glass hangs at your home bar or stands on the buffet as a place card. Your guests can see at a glance that someone made it by hand. As the base for a money gift or a handmade Father's Day present, the wooden cutout turns a quick idea into something that lasts.
Material & finish
The whisky glass is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This gives it smooth edges and a cleanly cut outline that you can see and feel on the finished piece. The wood is unfinished, neither varnished nor stained. So you can paint, oil or stick things on it as you like. As a natural material, wood is never completely uniform. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. That makes every piece one of a kind. The cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden whisky glass
- At a birthday party for a whisky lover: Cover the motif with rolled-up banknotes. The money gift becomes a small work of art that certainly won't be spent straight away.
- At your home bar or in the kitchen: Put a painted whisky glass on a sign or make it part of a garland – and the corner instantly has a theme.
- Crafting with children for Father's Day: The little ones paint the glass in Dad's favourite colours – and the present is handmade instead of quickly bought.
- On the buffet at a celebration: Use it as a labelled place card at every seat. Your guests find their place and also get a keepsake to take home.
- In bars, restaurants or shops: Use it as an outline motif for signage, shelf decorations or promotional areas. With sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, you can fit out larger areas quickly and consistently.
Good to know about the whisky glass
The word “whisky” comes from the Gaelic “uisge beatha”, meaning “water of life”. No wonder the whisky glass stands for enjoyment and sociable get-togethers. That's why the silhouette suits bar decorations, men's nights and birthdays. It works well on invitations and gifts, too.
Care & durability
There's not much to do. As the wood is untreated, an occasional dry dusting is enough. Avoid prolonged moisture. If you paint or oil the motif, you protect the surface even more and it stays looking good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the wooden whisky glass or stick things on it? Yes. The poplar plywood is unfinished. You can paint, oil, decorate or write on it – ideal for crafts and decorating.
Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The whisky glass is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge along the outline. It's part of the process and emphasises the shape.
How wide is the motif at the height I choose? For reference: at a height of 10 cm, the width is 3 cm. The other sizes are in proportion.
Do all the cutouts look exactly the same? The shape does, the wood not quite: as a natural material it varies in shade and grain, and small knots are normal. This isn't a defect – it makes every piece unique.
Is the wood treated? No, it is neither varnished nor stained. This means it takes paint and glue particularly well.
A piece of plywood is only the start. What counts is the moment when the recipient turns the whisky glass you designed in their hand. They realise: someone came up with this just for me. Just choose your height and quantity – and get started.
