Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The children's birthday party is coming up. You want bunting that doesn't end up in the bin after the party. With these plywood pennants you can make garlands, name signs and decorations to hang up again every year. Paint them, stick things on or write on them, just as you like. The untreated wood is ready for your next craft afternoon: you choose the colours, the pennant provides the shape.
What changes for you
- You can start decorating straight away instead of sawing out triangles. Each pennant arrives as a cleanly laser-cut equilateral triangle, ready to use.
- Your bunting is threaded in just a few minutes. Two pre-drilled holes with a 3 mm diameter sit in the top corners.
- You get exactly the size that suits your project. Choose a width from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can relax when crafting with children. The edges are laser-cut smooth, so nothing splinters when handled.
- You can plan larger projects without reordering. Available individually or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.
Why this pennant makes a difference in everyday life
A wooden garland hangs differently from a paper one. It looks warmer and lasts year after year. With every celebration it becomes a little more familiar. You decorate it once, at your own pace. After that you simply bring it out again for birthdays, Christmas or a garden party. That's how a craft afternoon turns into something that lasts.
Material & finish
The pennants are made from 3 mm plywood. This makes them light but stable in your hand. Laser cutting gives smooth edges and the typical fine brown rim. This rim frames painted surfaces with a clean finish. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor stained. Paint, glue, oil and pens adhere directly, with no preparation needed. The pennants are made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a natural material, so the shade and grain vary slightly from piece to piece. Small knots are part of it too. This makes every piece one of a kind.

How to use the pennant
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own pennant. At the end you thread them all into a garland that hangs in the children's room for a long time.
- For birthdays: one letter per pennant, threaded together to spell a name. The birthday child can see at the door that today is their day.
- Christmas crafts: write the numbers 1 to 24 on small pennants and hang them on a string as an Advent calendar. Each morning there's a new one to turn over.
- For gifts of money: attach notes behind a pennant with writing on it. The envelope becomes a small surprise with your own message or name.
- In a café or at a market stall: decorate pennants with your offers or logo and hang them above the counter. Your goods look lovingly presented. The bunting goes up and comes down in minutes.
Good to know about the pennant
Pennants were originally identification signs at sea and in festive parades. These small triangular flags signalled belonging and celebration. That signal is why bunting is still the classic decoration for birthdays, weddings and parties: where pennants hang, people celebrate.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the pennants in a dry place and they will keep their shape for years. The wood is untreated, so avoid long-term moisture. If you want to hang the garland outdoors, a coat of varnish or oil protects the surface.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the pennant directly? Yes. The plywood is untreated and takes paint, pens, glue and oil without any pre-treatment.
How do I thread the pennants into bunting? Two corners each have a hole with a 3 mm diameter. Pull a string or ribbon through and your garland is ready.
Why is the edge brown? The pennants are laser-cut. The fine brown rim is typical of this cutting method. It also gives smooth edges.
How tall is the pennant at a given width? The shape is an equilateral triangle. At a width of 10 cm, the height is 8.66 cm. Other sizes scale accordingly.
Do all pennants look exactly the same? The shape does, the wood not quite. As a natural material it shows different shades, grain and occasionally small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.
What counts is the moment your own garland is hanging and everyone knows: the party is about to start. Just choose your width and quantity – and get started.
