Bunting for the children's room, name flags for the birthday table or a home-made Advent calendar: with this plywood pennant, you already have the blank in your hand. It is made for your craft table. The right-angled triangle arrives untreated, and you decide what it becomes. Paint it, decorate it, write on it or simply leave it natural.

What changes for you

  • You can start creating straight away, just as you like. The wood is untreated, so you can paint, decorate, varnish or oil it.
  • You can thread your bunting without drilling or tools. There are two ready-made holes with a 3 mm diameter in the corners.
  • You get exactly the size your project needs. Choose a width from 5 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • It is pleasant to work with and needs no sanding. The laser cut leaves smooth edges.
  • Bigger projects are easy to plan – order singly or as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.

Why this pennant makes a difference in everyday life

Home-made paper decorations crease and fade. They rarely last beyond one celebration. A wooden pennant keeps its shape. It feels solid and smooth in your hand. Next year it will still look as good as on the first day. So your craft afternoon turns into something that lasts. Hang it as bunting above the cot or tie it to a present as a name flag.

Material & finish

The pennant is made of 3 mm thick plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut leaves the typical brown edge. This is part of the process and gives each piece a fine, dark finish along the edge. Wood is a natural material. Each pennant has its own shade. Small differences in the grain or tiny knots are normal. This makes every piece one of a kind. It is not a defect; it is simply how natural wood looks.

How to use the pennant

  • Crafting with children: each child paints their own pennant. In the end, a string of bunting hangs in the children's room, and everyone is proud of it.
  • For a home-made Advent calendar: number 24 pennants and hang small bags from them. The excitement starts as soon as you hang them up.
  • As Christmas decorations: decorated with stars or names, the pennants dress up windows, branches or the festive table.
  • For gifts of money and small presents: a labelled pennant on the gift shows at a glance who it is from. It is more personal than any bow.
  • In the café, at the market or in your shop: hang the pennants as labelled flags above the counter or in the shop window. They make a carefully designed display. They are quick to hang up and can be used again and again.

Good to know about the pennant

Pennants were originally used as signs that could be seen from far away, for example on ships' masts or in parades. Bunting still works as a signal today: where it hangs, something is going on. That is why the triangle shape suits birthdays, parties and any decoration that should catch people's attention.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. The wood is untreated and will last many years if kept dry. Avoid constant moisture. If you want to use the pennant outdoors, paint, varnish or oil it first to protect the surface.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or decorate the pennant? Yes. The wood comes in its natural state, so it is untreated. You can paint, decorate, varnish or oil it.

Why does the pennant have a brown edge? The pennant is laser-cut, which creates the typical brown edge along the cut. The advantage: the edges are smooth and do not need sanding.

How tall is the pennant at a given width? The height is half the width. At 10 cm wide, the pennant is 5 cm tall.

Does every pennant look the same? Not quite, as wood is a natural material. The shade and grain vary slightly, and small knots are possible. This makes every piece unique.

How do I hang the pennant? There are already two holes with a 3 mm diameter in the corners. Thread string or ribbon through them, and your bunting is ready.

You are buying a piece of plywood. What you get out of it is an afternoon in which a few blanks become your own bunting. And the moment when it hangs up for the first time. Simply choose the width and quantity that suit your project.
