Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The children's birthday party is coming up. You want a garland that won't end up in the bin after one afternoon. With these plywood pennants you make decorations that last. Paint them, stick things on them, thread them onto a string. Your bunting is ready for your next party. The wood is untreated. So you decide how colourful, simple or natural it turns out.
What changes for you
- You make garlands you can hang up again every year. Wood lasts much longer than paper or foil.
- You thread the pennants straight onto a string, with no drilling or punching. Each has two ready-made holes with a 3 mm diameter in the corners.
- You decorate them just as you like, with paint, decoupage or lettering. The wood comes in its natural state. You can paint it, stick things on it or oil it.
- You find the right size for every project, from a small gift tag to a large party garland. You choose the width from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can craft with children without worry about splinters. The laser-cut edges are smooth and don't splinter.
Why this pennant makes a difference in everyday life
A garland of wooden flags looks warmer and calmer than shiny party decorations. It suits a children's room just as well as the space above the dining table or a garden shed. After the party you don't throw it away. You keep it. At the next birthday, the first day of school or a garden party, you simply hang it up again. That way a crafting afternoon becomes a decoration full of memories.
Material & finish
The pennants are made of 3 mm plywood and are laser-cut. That's why they have the typical brown edge, which gives the garland a handmade look. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. So you can start crafting straight away. Wood is a purely natural material. Each pennant has its own shade. Small knots and differences in the grain are normal. This makes every piece one of a kind. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the pennants
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own pennant. At the end, a garland everyone is proud of hangs in the children's room.
- For the first day of school: write the name and the school starting year on the wooden flags and string them up. The table with the school cone now has its festive frame.
- Make your own Christmas decorations: paint the pennants white and red and hang them above the window. A calm alternative to glittery shop-bought decorations.
- For gifts of money: attach banknotes behind a pennant with lettering. The gift looks more personal than a plain envelope.
- In a café or at the shop counter: with offers or variety names written on them, the pennants label your range. They present it with care and are quick to swap when your offer changes.
Good to know about the pennant
The pennant originally comes from the world of seafaring and flags. There, the small pointed flag showed from afar who belonged where. This signal is exactly why bunting is still the classic party decoration today. Where it hangs, there's a celebration – whether a birthday, the first day of school or a garden party.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. The wood is untreated and will last many years if stored dry. Avoid constant moisture. If you want to hang the garland outdoors, paint or oil the pennants first. This makes them more resistant.
