Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.A bowl of moss, a few lights and a motif that instantly says country life. A wooden windmill brings exactly this calm, natural mood to your windowsill or craft table. The plywood is untreated. What changes for you
- You can start painting, decorating or oiling straight away – because the wood is untreated and takes colour well.
- You get clean, smooth edges with no finishing needed – thanks to precise laser cutting.
- You can see the sails, windows and details at a glance and colour them in easily – because all outlines are lightly laser-scored on the top side.
- Your decorations match, from small table scatter pieces to large freestanding displays – because you choose the height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- Group projects are easy to plan – because the wooden windmill is available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden windmill makes a difference in everyday life
Ready-made decorations often look the same everywhere. A motif you design yourself tells your own story – whether in a subtle natural tone on a shelf or in bright colours in a shop window. The windmill brings a sense of calm and a touch of rural idyll to the room. It takes very little effort.
Material & finish
The windmill is made of 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Laser cutting gives a clean finish with smooth edges. It feels pleasant in the hand and won't splinter while you craft. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why it reliably takes paint, glue and oil. As a natural material, it shows different shades, fine grain structures and occasionally small knots. This isn't a flaw – it's exactly what makes each piece unique.

How to use the wooden windmill
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own little windmill. At the end, they proudly take home a piece they designed themselves.
- On the windowsill or shelf: a large windmill among plants and lights brings a calm country-house motif into your home.
- As gift tags or table scatter: spread small windmills from 5 cm on parcels or across the table. Even a simple gift then looks lovingly made.
- In a café, bakery or at a market stall: use the windmill as counter decoration next to bread and pastries. It gives your goods a handcrafted wooden setting.
- For clubs, schools and craft groups: with sets from 10 pieces, you can supply whole craft days – without having to reorder individual pieces.
Good to know about windmills
For centuries, windmills ground grain. They still shape the image of Holland and northern Germany today. That's why the motif stands for country life, craftsmanship and permanence. It suits country-house decorations, maritime arrangements and anywhere bread and baked goods take centre stage.
Care & durability
There's not much to do: simply wipe off dust with a dry cloth. As the wood is untreated, it's best to keep it away from constant moisture. Or you can paint, oil or glaze it yourself to protect the surface for the long term, just as you like.
