You're planning a woodland decoration, a children's party with animal themes or a new craft project. And you're still missing the motif that ties it all together. The wooden wolf head V2 is made for ideas like these. It's a clear silhouette with a face drawn in. You can paint it or decorate it however you like. Or simply hang it up as it is. That way, a plain wooden cutout becomes exactly the piece that gives your decoration its character.

What changes for you

  • You get the motif in exactly the size your project needs. The wolf head can be ordered from 5 cm to 50 cm wide in 1 cm steps.
  • You can start painting, oiling or gluing straight away. The wood is untreated and takes paint without any preparation.
  • You don't need to sand anything. The laser-cut edges are smooth, so children can craft with it too.
  • Your motif looks finished even without paint. The contour lines on the top trace the face and fur in fine detail.
  • You save on larger projects. The wolf head is available individually or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.

Why this wooden wolf head makes a difference day to day

Good decorations need motifs you don't find on every corner. The wolf offers just that. It suits woodland themes, autumn decorations and themed parties. It also fits any craft project that can handle a bit of wilderness. Instead of searching for ages, you have a ready-made motif in your hands. And you decide whether it stays natural or gets colourful.

Material & finish

Every wolf head is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This gives it the typical, slightly browned edge. It's a hallmark of this production method and gives the motif depth. The top shows the fine contour lines. The back is left natural. The wood is neither varnished nor glazed, so paints and glue stick well. Wood is a natural material, so every piece turns out a little different. Some are lighter, some darker, and the grain occasionally has small knots. That makes every piece one of a kind. The cutout is made by Bütic in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wolf head

  • Crafting with children: each child paints their own wolf. In the end, a whole pack in bright colours hangs on the wall.
  • For autumn and woodland decorations: place a large wolf head among twigs, moss and candles. Your windowsill tells a little forest story.
  • For a themed party or children's birthday: use small wolf heads as place cards or a garland. Your guests spot the motif as soon as they sit down.
  • In a shop or café with a woodland or nature theme: order a set and you'll have enough motifs for the window, counter and shelves. They all match and are quick to put up.
  • For clubs and groups: add a name or year and the wolf head becomes a small keepsake from a hiking day, camp or hunting festival.

Good to know about wolves

The wolf has always stood for togetherness. It lives in a pack where every animal has its place. That's why the motif works not only as decoration. It's also a symbol for groups that belong together. Think scout troops, hiking groups or a memento of a school trip.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Keep the wolf head dry and it will hold its shape and look for a long time. As the wood is untreated, avoid constant moisture. Or paint or oil it yourself if you'd like a tougher surface.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint the wolf head or glue things on it? Yes. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. Paints, oils and glue stick directly to the surface.

Do both sides look the same? No. The top has the contour lines with the face and fur detail. The back is left natural.

Why does the motif have a brown edge? The wolf head is laser-cut. The slightly browned edge comes from this process and is part of its typical look.

Does every piece look the same? The shape does, the wood not quite. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain. Small knots are normal and not a defect.

How big is the wolf head at the width I choose? Width and height are the same. At 10 cm wide, the motif is also 10 cm high.

A plain piece of wood becomes your very own motif. You can paint it, add lettering or leave it completely natural. Just choose your size and quantity. You decide the rest.
