The children's party has a safari theme. Or you want to create a little Africa world in the kids' room. And you still need the right motif for crafting with children. This wooden zebra cutout is made for exactly that. It's a clear zebra silhouette in plywood. You can paint it, decorate it or simply stand it up as it is. A plain piece of wood becomes your very own decoration.

What changes for you

  • You design the zebra exactly the way you want. The wood is untreated, so you can paint it, glue things on, varnish it or oil it.
  • You get the size that really suits your project. Choose any width from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • Your craft session with children starts without any prep. The edges are laser-cut and smooth. Nobody needs to sand or finish them.
  • You can plan bigger activities without stress too. The zebra comes singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
  • You're holding an honest natural product. It's made in Thuringia, with the typical wood grain that makes every piece one of a kind.

Why this wooden cutout makes a difference in everyday life

Ready-made decorations often look the same everywhere. A motif you design yourself tells your story. On the birthday table, on the kids' room wall or in the shop window: the zebra brings a safari mood to the room straight away. It looks warm and natural rather than garish and random. You choose the size and design yourself. So it fits exactly where you want it.

Material & finish

The zebra is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. That's where the smooth edges come from. So does the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a fine outline. The wood is untreated, not varnished or stained. It takes paint, glue and oil well. As a natural material, it's never completely uniform. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. This is not a flaw. It's exactly what makes every zebra one of a kind. The cutout is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden zebra

  • At a safari-themed children's party: every child paints their own zebra. At the end, they take home a keepsake they made themselves.
  • In the kids' room: put several zebras in different sizes on the wall. An empty space turns into a little African landscape.
  • When crafting with children at home, at nursery or at school: the motif is already cut out. That leaves more time for painting, gluing and decorating.
  • In your shop: use zebras in graded sizes to create an Africa-themed window display. It's quick to set up and gets people looking.
  • As a gift tag or table decoration in a small size: a zebra at each place or on a parcel. And your invitation has a theme.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Keep the untreated wood dry and it will keep its natural look for a long time. Avoid constant moisture. For outdoor use, you can varnish or oil the zebra before decorating it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint the zebra or glue things on it? Yes. The wood is untreated. You can paint it, glue things on, varnish it or oil it. All common craft paints and glues work.

What's the brown edge? The cutout is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge with smooth sides. No finishing is needed.

Do all zebras look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain. Small knots are normal. Every piece is one of a kind.

How tall is the zebra at a given width? As a reference: at 10 cm wide, the height is 8.5 cm. The other sizes keep the same proportions.

A piece of plywood is only the starting point. What counts is the moment a child proudly holds up the zebra they painted. Or the moment your safari decoration looks exactly as you imagined. Just choose your width and quantity. You design the rest.
