Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Your Advent wreath is ready. The window still needs the finishing touch. And you're looking for a motif that brings a wintry feel into your home without looking kitschy. This wooden cedar cone is made for your Christmas decorations. It's a clear cone shape in natural plywood. You can paint it, stick things on it or simply hang it up as it is. That way, a simple wooden cutout becomes your own winter decoration.
What changes for you
- You design your Christmas decorations exactly the way you like. The wood is untreated, so you can paint it, oil it, cover it or write on it.
- You'll find the right size for every idea, from a small hanging decoration to a large shop window motif. You can choose any height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You don't have to paint freehand. The outlines of the cone are already scored into the top surface. They give you a clear template.
- You can decorate or do crafts in a larger group without stress, for example with children or at your club. The cedar cone is available on its own or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
- You get a neatly made piece. The laser cut gives smooth edges and precise shapes, with no finishing work needed.
Why this wooden cedar cone makes a difference every day
A wooden cone suits the winter season – in the window, on a branch or on the laid table. Instead of mass-produced shop-bought decorations, you make something in your own style. Every painted or decorated cone tells a little about you. And because the shape is so clear, the decoration stays calm and uncluttered, even in larger numbers.
Material & finish
The cedar cone is made of 3 mm poplar plywood and is laser cut. The result is smooth edges and clean, precise workmanship. It feels pleasant to the touch and is easy to work with further. The top surface has fine scored outlines of the cone pattern. The underside is left natural. The wood is untreated, not varnished or glazed. That's why paints, glues and oils take well. As a natural material, every piece has its own structure. Different shades, small knots and slight irregularities in the grain are part of it. They make every cone one of a kind. It's made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden cedar cone
- Making Christmas decorations with children: each child paints their own cone along the scored outlines. In the end, a little gallery hangs in the window that everyone is proud of.
- On an Advent wreath or branch: tie a few small cones in among the fir greenery. The wreath gains natural depth without much arranging.
- On the Christmas table: place a cone at each seat with the guest's name written on it. The place card becomes a small gift to take home.
- For shop windows, shop decorations and market stalls: with sets of 10 or more, you can decorate larger areas consistently and set up your winter decorations quickly. The larger heights of up to 50 cm are easy to see from a distance.
- As a craft blank for gifts: decorated, labelled or oiled, the cone becomes a homemade tag for gift wrapping and small presents.
Good to know about cones
Real cones open and close their scales depending on the humidity. That's why collected fir cones change shape in a warm living room. The plywood cedar cone, on the other hand, stays exactly as you designed it. This makes it ideal for decorations you want to bring out again year after year.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. Simply wipe off dust with a dry cloth. Protect the cone from constant moisture, as the wood is untreated. If you'd like to use it outdoors, a coat of paint or oil helps. That way the surface stays looking good for a long time, and you can enjoy your decoration for years.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the cedar cone or stick things on it? Yes. The wood is natural and takes paints, glues and oils well. The scored outlines serve as your template.
Is the cone suitable for outdoor use? Untreated, it belongs indoors. With a protective coat of paint or oil, you can also prepare it for outdoor decorations.
Why don't all the cones look the same? Wood is a natural material. Different shades, fine grain and small knots are normal. That's exactly what makes every piece one of a kind.
Are both sides designed? The top surface has the scored outlines of the cone pattern. The underside is smooth and natural.
How wide is the cone? The width depends on the height you choose. At a height of 10 cm, for example, it is 8.5 cm wide.
A wooden cutout is only the start. What counts is the moment you hang your finished, painted cones in the window and your home suddenly looks like winter. Simply choose your height and quantity – you design the rest.
