Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The craft table is set, brushes and paints are at the ready – all that's missing is a motif with more to it than the usual paper template. If you'd like to make a zeppelin or create some nostalgic zeppelin decorations, this laser-cut wooden figure is made for your craft table: a clean zeppelin silhouette in plywood, untreated and ready for your ideas. No more sawing or cutting out – you get straight to the fun part.
What changes for you
- You can start creating right away instead of sawing – because the wooden zeppelin is already laser-cut and has smooth edges.
- It always fits your project, whether it's a window decoration, garland or wall decor – thanks to a width you can choose freely from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can paint, decorate, coat or oil the zeppelin, just as you like – because the wood is untreated and neither varnished nor glazed.
- No need to hunt for a zeppelin craft template – the shape is ready-made, so all you need to think about is colour and details.
- There's plenty for bigger projects, too – available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden zeppelin makes a difference every day
A ready-cut motif takes the tedious groundwork out of your project and leaves you time for the enjoyable part: creating, painting, decorating. Instead of unevenly cut-out shapes, you end up with a clear, calm silhouette in the window or on the wall – and the natural material brings a warmth that printed paper simply can't match. That way, a crafting afternoon turns into something you'll be happy to show off.
Material & finish
The zeppelin is laser cut from 3 mm thick plywood. That gives it smooth edges and the typical brown rim, which outlines the motif like a fine drawn line. The clean finish means you can get started straight away, with no sanding needed. Wood is a purely natural material. Every piece has its own shade and grain, and some may show small knots. This makes each zeppelin one of a kind – it is not a flaw. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden zeppelin
- For a crafting afternoon with children: each child paints their own zeppelin – and takes home a little work of art that lasts.
- In the nursery: combine several sizes as a mobile or wall frieze – and a calm, nostalgic aviation scene floats above the bed.
- For birthday or christening decorations: small zeppelins as table scatter or on a garland – your table gets a theme without much setting up.
- As gift tags: a mini zeppelin with a name or message on the parcel – and the present looks lovingly made before it's even unwrapped.
- In a shop window or café: large zeppelins up to 50 cm wide for seasonal decorations. They are quick to hang up and can be reused as often as you like.
Good to know about the zeppelin
The zeppelin is named after its inventor, Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin, whose first rigid airship took off over Lake Constance in 1900. To this day, its distinctive silhouette stands for pioneering spirit and the early days of aviation – which is why the motif suits vintage decor, aeroplane-themed children's rooms and gifts for anyone who dreams of flying so well.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do: as the plywood is untreated, it's best to keep the zeppelin dry and avoid constant moisture. Painting or oiling it gives the surface extra protection – so your decoration stays looking good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the zeppelin? Yes. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed – you can paint it, stick things on it, coat it or oil it.
Why does the zeppelin have a brown edge? That's the typical edge left by laser cutting. It's part of the production method and gives the motif a clear outline.
How tall is the zeppelin at my chosen width? As a reference: at a width of 10 cm, the height is 3 cm. The proportions stay the same for all sizes.
Do all zeppelins look exactly the same? The shape does, the wood doesn't. As a natural material, plywood varies in shade and may show small irregularities in the grain or tiny knots – every piece is unique.
Is the zeppelin available in larger quantities? Yes, as well as single pieces there are sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 – for craft groups, children's birthday parties or shop displays, for example.
In the end, it's not about a piece of plywood. It's about the moment your hand-painted zeppelin hangs in the window and you think: we did a lovely job there. Just choose your size and quantity – you'll create the rest.
