What changes for you
- You can get creative straight away. The wood is untreated, so you can glue, paint, varnish or oil it with no preparation.
- Your shape looks finished even before the first brushstroke. Fine contour scoring traces the goat's face and lines.
- You'll find the right size for every idea. Choose from 5 cm for gift tags up to 50 cm for window decorations, in 1 cm steps.
- You don't need to sand the edges. The laser cut leaves smooth edges that won't bother little hands either.
- You can supply whole groups or projects in one go. The goat comes individually or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden goat makes a difference every day
A ready-cut shape takes care of the hardest part for you. There's no drawing, sawing or sanding edges. You can go straight to the fun part. A vague craft idea turns into a relaxed afternoon with a result you can see. With its light, smooth plywood surface, the goat fits into any decoration. Put it on the windowsill, on a present or in a seasonal arrangement.
Material & finish
The goat is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. It has the typical finely browned edge this creates. The edge frames the silhouette and outlines it, with no paint needed. The top shows the face, drawn with contour scoring. The underside is left natural. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why paints, glues and oils adhere particularly well. Every piece is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. It is cleanly finished, right down to the smallest size. Wood is a natural material, so each cutout varies slightly in shade and grain. Small knots included. This makes every piece unique.

How to use the wooden goat
- Crafting with children: every child gets their own goat to paint. At the end, a whole colourful herd stands on the table.
- For farmyard decorations: combine the goat with other wooden farm animals. Create a little stable and pasture scene on a windowsill or sideboard.
- As a gift tag: tie a small goat to a parcel with ribbon. Your present has a face even before it's unwrapped.
- Making Christmas decorations: you can decorate, paint or write names on the cutouts. Use them as hanging ornaments or place cards for the festive table.
- In a farm shop, café or at the weekly market: larger goats on the counter or in the shop window show at a glance what you offer. For example, goat's cheese and farm produce.
Good to know about goats
The goat is one of the oldest farm animals kept by humans. It has been part of rural life for thousands of years. That's why it feels so familiar as a shape. It suits farmyard themes, farm shops and anything to do with stables and pastures. It also goes well with other wooden animal figures.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Keep the untreated goat dry and it will keep its natural colour for a long time. Painting or oiling it gives the surface extra protection and the finish you want. It all depends on your project.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the goat? Yes. The plywood is untreated and takes paints, glues and oils well. It's ideal for crafting, decorating and painting.
Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The goat is laser-cut. The fine brown edge forms naturally in the process. It's part of the typical look of these cutouts.
How tall is the goat at my chosen width? Width and height are the same. At 10 cm wide, the figure is also 10 cm tall.
Do all cutouts look the same? The shape is identical, the wood isn't: as a natural material, it varies in shade and grain, and small knots are normal – every piece is one of a kind.
A plain silhouette becomes your own little goat. Paint it, decorate it and put it exactly where it makes you smile every day. Simply choose your size and quantity – and get started.
