Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The St Patrick's Day theme party is planned, but the garland is still missing. And shop-bought plastic decorations just don't suit your style. With this plywood shamrock, you make your decorations yourself. Paint it, stick things on it or leave it natural, just right for your party table. The shamrock is Ireland's national symbol and sets the right mood on the table straight away.
What changes for you
- You design your decoration exactly the way you imagine it. The wood is untreated, so you can paint it, glue things on, varnish it or oil it.
- Your garland, tag or table scatter feels sturdier than paper or plastic. That's thanks to the natural plywood with clean, smooth laser-cut edges.
- You'll find the right size for every project, from a small scatter piece to a large window decoration. The height can be chosen from 3 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can craft with children with peace of mind. The edges are laser-cut smooth, so nothing needs sanding.
- Decorating for bigger events stays relaxed too. The shamrock is available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this shamrock cutout makes a difference in everyday life
Homemade wooden decorations tell more of a story than ready-made ones. They carry your personal touch. On the party table, at the window or on a gift, they look calm and natural. Instead of searching for the right party decorations, you have a blank that adapts to any occasion. From an Irish evening with friends to a crafting afternoon with the children. A simple cutout becomes a piece that really suits your home.
Material & finish
The shamrock is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it the typical brown edge, which outlines the silhouette with a fine, finished contour. The wood is untreated, not varnished and not glazed. Paints, glues and oils therefore adhere reliably. As a purely natural material, wood is never completely uniform. Some pieces are lighter, some darker. Small knots and differences in the grain are part of it and make every piece one of a kind. The cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden shamrock
- For St Patrick's Day: Thread several shamrocks onto a string. Now a garland hangs over the buffet that no guest has seen in a shop.
- On the party table: Scatter small cutouts between plates and glasses. The table looks lovingly laid without much decorating effort.
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own clover – and takes home a lucky charm they designed themselves.
- As a tag: Add a ribbon and tie it to a gift, branch or bottle. Done in a few simple steps.
- In a café, pub or shop: Large shamrocks in the shop window or on the counter announce your Irish night or themed week. With sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, decorating the whole room is quick too.
Good to know about the shamrock
The shamrock is the emblem of Ireland. According to tradition, St Patrick used the three-leaved clover to explain the Holy Trinity. That's why it is still part of St Patrick's Day on 17 March. This makes the cutout a fitting decoration for theme parties, Irish evenings and green spring decorations.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Keep the untreated wood dry and wipe it with a dry cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture. If you paint, varnish or oil the shamrock, you protect the surface further and can enjoy your decoration for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Is the wood treated? No, the plywood is left natural, neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint it, stick things on it, coat it or oil it straight away.
Where does the brown edge come from? The cutout is laser-cut. The brown edge is typical of this process. It also means smooth edges with no finishing needed.
Is the shamrock suitable for outdoor use? Untreated, it belongs indoors. With an opaque coat of paint or oil, you can protect it for short periods outdoors. It should not be exposed to constant moisture.
Why do the cutouts look different? Wood is a natural material. Colour, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. That is exactly what makes every shamrock one of a kind.
Can I order larger quantities? Yes. As well as single pieces, there are sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100. Handy for garlands, craft groups or shop decorations.
A wooden cutout is only the start. What counts is the moment your guests discover the homemade garland. Then the party looks like you – not like the decorations aisle. Simply choose your size and quantity. You design the rest.
