Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Autumn is moving in. There are conkers on the windowsill, and the table is waiting for a little warm colour. You're just missing the motif that brings it all together. This Japanese maple leaf in wood is made for exactly that. It's a finely laser-cut leaf silhouette. You can scatter it, hang it up, paint it or stick things on it. A few simple steps give you decorations that look and feel like nature.
What changes for you
- You can create autumn decorations exactly to your taste. The wood is untreated, so you can paint, oil, coat or decorate it.
- You'll find the right size for every idea, from a small scatter leaf to a large wall motif. The height can be chosen from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can relax while crafting, even with children – because the laser-cut edges are smooth and nothing needs sanding.
- For bigger projects like table decorations, garlands or shop windows, you get the right quantity straight away. Order single leaves or sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
- Your finished piece looks complete. The typical brown laser edge gives every leaf a fine, visible outline.
Why this wooden maple leaf makes a difference in everyday life
Ready-made decorations often look generic. A blank made of real wood becomes your own piece as soon as you add colour, lettering or embellishments. The curved silhouette of the Japanese maple leaf brings calm and a natural feel to your table, windowsill or counter. It does this without being overpowering. And because you decide the size and quantity yourself, the result really suits your room and your occasion.
Material & finish
Every leaf is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck. This gives clean, smooth edges and the distinctive brown edge that traces the shape. The wood is untreated. It is neither varnished nor stained, so it takes paints, oils and glue well. As a natural material, it shows different shades, fine structures in the grain and occasionally small knots. That's not a flaw. It's what makes every leaf one of a kind.

How to use the maple leaf
- Crafting with children on an autumn afternoon: every child paints their own leaf. Afterwards, a colourful leaf garland hangs in the window, and everyone is proud of it.
- For autumn or Christmas table decorations: place a leaf with a name on it at every seat. Your guests will know as soon as they sit down that you've put thought into it.
- For money gifts and cards: stick on or tie on a small leaf. It turns an envelope into an individually designed gift.
- In a café, bakery or shop window: arrange several leaves in different sizes. Your counter or display gets a seasonal look in just a few minutes.
- For wreaths and dreamcatchers: weave in leaves or hang them on. Your door wreath tells of autumn long before the first leaves fall outside.
Good to know about the Japanese maple leaf
In Japan, viewing the autumn-coloured maple leaves has a long tradition. Every year, the custom known as Momijigari draws many people outdoors to admire the bright foliage. The leaf shape carries exactly this symbolism. That makes it a fitting motif for autumn decorations, harvest festivals and any design around the golden season.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. The untreated wood stays looking good for a long time in dry indoor spaces. Avoid constant moisture. Or seal the leaves with paint or oil after decorating them, so you can enjoy them even longer.

Why does the leaf have a brown edge? The edge is created during laser cutting and is typical of this cutting method. It gives smooth edges and finely traces the leaf shape.
Do all the leaves look the same? The shape is identical, but the wood isn't. As a natural material, every leaf shows its own shades, structures and sometimes small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.
Which sizes and quantities are available? You choose the height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps. You can order single leaves or sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
