Why this wooden monkey makes a difference every day
An animal silhouette made of natural material makes a room feel calmer than colourful plastic decorations. The climbing monkey looks playful without being loud. Put it on the wall, on a shelf or use it in a garland you make yourself. And because you decorate it yourself, the motif in the room isn't just any motif. It's yours.
Material & finish
The monkey is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck. Laser cutting creates smooth edges and the typical brown rim, which gives the silhouette a fine outline. The wood is untreated, not varnished or glazed. So you can paint it, stick things on it, oil it or leave it natural, just as you like. Wood is a natural material and never completely uniform. Brightness and grain vary, and small knots can occur. That's why every piece is one of a kind.

How to use the wooden monkey
- Crafting with children: Each child paints their own monkey. At the end, they proudly take home a keepsake they made themselves.
- In a child's room: Several monkeys in different sizes climb up the wall. An empty corner turns into a small jungle scene.
- For a jungle-themed birthday party: Put a monkey at every place or hang them on the garland. Your table decoration is ready before the guests ring the bell.
- As a gift tag: Write a name on the small monkey, and a simple parcel becomes a personal gift.
- In a shop or café: Use the silhouette in the shop window, on the counter or as part of your seasonal decoration for a friendly motif. The sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 are enough for larger areas too.
- In nurseries and schools: The laser-cut blank is ready to use, so no one has to saw it out. That leaves more time for the actual creative work with the group.
Good to know about the monkey
In many cultures, the monkey stands for curiosity, skill and playfulness. One well-known example is the three wise monkeys from Japanese art. That's why the motif suits any place where you want a lively mood: a child's room, a themed party or a cheeky greeting on a present.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Keep the untreated cutout dry and avoid constant moisture. This keeps the plywood stable and looking good. If you paint or oil the monkey, you choose the surface and colour yourself.

Where does the brown rim on the edges come from? The cutout is laser-cut. The brown rim is typical of this cutting method. It also means the edges are smooth and don't need sanding.
Why don't all the cutouts look the same? Wood is a natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots vary. This isn't a defect. It makes every piece unique.
Is the cutout suitable for crafting with children? Yes. The laser-cut edges are smooth, and the untreated surface is easy to paint and stick things on. It's ideal for craft afternoons together.
