Why this wooden seagull makes a difference every day
As a piece you design yourself, a decorative wooden seagull offers what ready-made decorations often don't: a silhouette you have painted, stained or varnished yourself. In the window, on the wall or on the laid table, the seabird picks up the coastal theme. Together with other pieces it forms a complete arrangement. And because you design the silhouette yourself, every finished seagull has a bit of you in it.
Material & finish
The seagull is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. That gives it smooth edges and the characteristic brown rim, which outlines the motif finely. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. So you can glue onto it, paint it, coat it or oil it straight away. Wood is a natural material. It varies in shade, shows a lively grain and may have small knots. This makes every piece one of a kind. The seagull is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, with clean workmanship.

How to use your wooden seagull
- In the window: Hang up a few seagulls in different sizes, and your window display tells of a holiday by the sea.
- Crafting with children: Each child paints their own seagull. At the end, everyone has a little work of art that's here to stay.
- At a maritime celebration: Put a small seagull as a place card at every seat, and your guests find their place with a smile.
- On the wall: Arrange several silhouettes as a wall collage in the hallway or bathroom, and the coastal theme runs through the room by itself.
- In a shop or café: Seagulls in the shop window or on the counter pick up your summer or fish theme. They're quick to put up and easy to spot. Thanks to the sets, you can get them in larger quantities too.
Good to know about the seagull
Few animals stand for the coast, harbours and wanderlust quite like the seagull. One look brings back memories of walks on the beach and holiday days. That's why the motif suits the bathroom or the door of a holiday flat. It also fits summer parties, maritime birthdays and any decoration meant to bring a bit of the sea indoors.
Care & durability
There's not much to do: just dust it with a dry cloth when needed. As the wood is untreated, avoid constant moisture. If you want to use the seagull outdoors, it's best to protect it with a coat of paint or a wood glaze. That way it will last you a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the seagull or stick things on it? Yes. The wood is untreated and natural. You can coat it, oil it, stick things on it or paint it, just as you like.
Is the seagull suitable for outdoor use? The wood is untreated. For outdoor use, we recommend a protective coat of paint or a glaze so the seagull can withstand wind and weather.
Why don't all the seagulls look exactly the same? Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. That's not a flaw – it makes every seagull unique.
Where does the brown edge come from? It's created during laser cutting and is typical of this cutting method. The edges are still smooth and cleanly cut.
A wooden cutout is only the starting point. What counts is the moment your own seagull hangs in the window and reminds you a little of the sea every day. Just choose your size – singly or as a set.
