Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Your windowsill still looks a little bare. This year, your summer decorations should be fruity. And you're missing a motif you can design to suit your own ideas. That's exactly what this wooden orange is made for. It's a laser-cut wood cutout in the shape of an orange. You can paint it, stick things on it or hang it up in its natural state. A simple piece of plywood becomes your very own citrus decoration.
What changes for you
- You design your decorations exactly the way you want them. The plywood is left natural, so you can paint it, decorate it or coat it. If you want an orange-coloured wooden motif, just pick up a brush.
- You'll find the right size for every project. Choose any height from 3 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps. That covers everything from a small tag to a large window decoration.
- You can start crafting straight away, with no sanding needed. The edges are laser-cut and smooth. They have the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a fine outline.
- Larger projects are easy to supply, too. The orange is available individually or as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces. That's handy for garlands or group crafts.
Why this wooden cutout makes a difference in everyday life
Ready-made decorations often look the same everywhere. A wooden blank, on the other hand, shows your own personal touch. Use it as a summer window decoration, as a garland above the kitchen worktop or as table decoration at a garden party. The orange brings a cheerful citrus motif into your home. It stays as colourful or as natural as you like. Wood has a matt surface that feels good in the hand. So the motif can be used subtly, without immediately drawing all the attention.
Material & finish
The orange is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why paints, glue and pens adhere reliably. Wood is a natural material, so it's never completely uniform. The grain may be lighter or darker, and small knots may appear. This makes every piece one of a kind. It's not a flaw, just the nature of wood.

How to use your wooden orange
- Summer crafts with children: everyone paints their own orange. In the end, a colourful fruit garland hangs in the window, and everyone is proud of it.
- As a window decoration in the kitchen: hang a few oranges in different sizes on fine threads. The view outside gets a hint of the south.
- On the coffee table: use small oranges as table scatter or on napkin ribbons. Your guests discover the theme of the afternoon as soon as they sit down.
- In a café or at a market stall: large oranges on the counter or in the shop window announce freshly squeezed juice and seasonal produce. Quick to hang up, effective for a long time.
- In a craft class or nursery: with the set of 25, 50 or 100, every group has enough blanks. You don't have to reorder individual pieces.
Good to know about the orange
In earlier times, the orange was a luxury. It was given as a special gift on the Christmas plate. To this day, it is firmly part of the winter and Advent season. So the motif doesn't just suit summer, kitchen and citrus decorations. It works just as well in your Christmas decorations, for example as a tree ornament or garland.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the untreated cutouts in a dry place and avoid constant moisture. This keeps the wood stable in shape and keeps its natural look. Once painted or varnished, the surface has extra protection.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the orange or stick things on it? Yes. The plywood is left natural, neither varnished nor glazed. Acrylic paints, pens and glue adhere well.
Where does the brown edge come from? The orange is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a clean, fine outline.
Do all cutouts look the same? The shape is identical, but the wood isn't. As a natural material, it shows different shades and textures and occasionally small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.
How wide is the orange? The width depends on the height you choose. For reference: at a height of 10 cm, the orange is 9 cm wide.
A piece of plywood becomes something more. Picture the moment your own orange garland hangs in the window. The kitchen feels a little sunnier. Simply choose your height and quantity – you design the rest.
