The plant labels are made of branded acrylic glass (PLEXIGLAS^®). The material handles rain, frost and sun with ease and keeps its shape. The engraving is done by laser in our own production in Pößneck. Each label is made individually there. Due to the material, the plant names are engraved in light grey. This makes them a permanent part of the label. Nothing peels off, nothing washes out.

Good to know: acrylic glass in the garden

Acrylic glass is one of the most weather-resistant plastics there is. That is why it has been used outdoors for decades. It does not yellow and does not become brittle in the sun. This makes it a suitable material for plant labels that stay out in the bed all year round.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. The labels can stay outdoors permanently. Rain, frost and sun do them no harm. If needed, simply wipe off soil or limescale marks with a soft, damp cloth. The labels then look as good as new.

Can I leave the plant labels outside all year? Yes. The acrylic glass is weatherproof and frost-proof. The labels can stay in the bed over winter too.

Will the lettering fade over time? No. The material is UV-stable. The laser-engraved lettering does not fade outdoors, even in direct sun.

Do the labels rust or discolour? No. Unlike metal markers, acrylic glass does not rust or discolour.
