Acrylic plant labels – grey transparent, engraved

With these PLEXIGLAS^® plant labels, you simply push the answer into the soil right next to the plant. They are a subtle grey transparent with engraved plant names, made for your herb bed. Each label is made of branded acrylic (PLEXIGLAS^®). It is laser cut and engraved in our own production in Pößneck. The material stands up to rain, frost and sun without rusting or discolouring. So it looks the same for many gardening years. Due to the material, the plant names are engraved in light grey. They sit permanently in the material rather than just on the surface. No rain shower will wash anything away.

Good to know about PLEXIGLAS^® in the garden

PLEXIGLAS^® is the brand name for an acrylic glass developed in Germany in the 1930s. It is still used wherever a material has to withstand wind and weather for a long time. This is exactly what makes it so useful for plant labels. Something that lasts outdoors for years never needs replacing or relabelling in your bed.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. The labels stay in the bed or window box all year. Frost and sun cannot harm them. Simply wipe off any soil with a damp cloth. The engraving stays just as legible.

Do the labels stay legible outside in winter? Yes. The acrylic is weatherproof and frost-proof, and the engraving is UV-stable. It does not fade, even after a long time in the sun.

Will the stakes rust over time? No. Acrylic does not rust or discolour. So there are no marks on bed edging or on your hands.

What colour is the engraving? Due to the material, the plant names are engraved in light grey. They stand out subtly against the grey transparent label.
